After much experimentation, I prefer this over the kanthal wire.. Reading in the rba forum, it was mentioned somewhere that some people thought nichrome worked better with silica and kanthal worked better with mesh.

I have to say that after building a couple heads with the nichrome I definitly prefer it. It seems more responsive and I also seem to be able to crank the power higher without burning the juice. I definitly notice the extra vapor from the extra power and will probably lower the nicotine in my juice..

After my experience, I am really surprised the nichrome is not more popular...
