Hi,

I have been a 1PAD smoker for 4 or 5 years. In that time i spent lots of money.. I found out about E-Cigs about 2 years ago when a lady at work received one as a gift. For some reason I was just not interested in it.. I might have been taking a break from Cigs at the time as i did stop 3 times and the longest was 1 month-1.5months..

Fast forward to when my buddy Jules was over last week.. I mentioned about the ecig.. next thing i knew my mom had an E-Cig that she never used from years ago, it was a gift.. the brand was ecigsbrand and i could not find much about it except for some negative reviews.

Long story short, i was Googling the phrase best e-cigs. etc.. to find the sites with V2 on the top.. something was not right, i felt i was missing something.. So i found this forum and i was reading things like Joye510 , 510 , Ego Kgo etc..

Now i understand the idea.. but i have my questions..

So because i don't want to buy cigs and i don't want to rush into a kit or set because i don't know if i want a 510 or a large battery kgo type deal, let alone if i want to try cartos or 3 piece using drip tip and dripping.. (sound like to much work) this is what i did..

Yesterday AM i went to the shell gas station and bought a $10 disposable CIGIREX menthol and boy do i love it.. But now i really want to just get the Joye510 with some cartos.. I just don't know if i need the KGO or E-POWER..

So i am not sure what i should do.. I almost want to get a small battery just to have something for when i go hiking or the bar.. not sure if i need that big battery..

I am learning so much and i love the E-CIGs.. its something that everyone should be using..

Big is subjective

That is a 650mah ego T next to a I think 260mah volt battery. They are nearly the same size and the ego is only longer because of the gigantic atomiser. If you put on a cartomiser, they are the same length. The 650mah batteries are just a little fatter.

You will get a lot more options to use if you use a "fat" battery. You can use low resistance heating elements for one, as the battery can handle it. You also wont have to charge often. A joye 510 battery, the cigarette sized one? They barely last an hour if you vape a "normal" amount of time. The 'small' 650mah ego? 4 hours is pretty much guaranteed, maybe even longer.

In your position, with what I know now, I would take the kgo over the 510 without hesitation, but that's only because I now have an ecig much bigger than even a kgo so I would be ok with it. I was in your shoes looking for a cigarette size one for looks. I did use them for a while but I moved on and I would have saved some money not buying them.

You can still decide for yourself though, that's just kinda how it is with small ones. You have to sacrafice power and life for size. For some it is worth it, for others it isn't.

Good luck :D

I personally always suggest the KGO to people starting out. E-Power is one that others also recommend. Good thing about these two is that they are manual batteries which are sealed. Automatic batteries has a sensor that detect when you are inhaling to work. Only problem is because the way it works the battery is not sealed. Your e-juice can leak into the automatic batteries and cause a short life. I have been very confortable carrying around a KGO to bars and used it at an all day outside concert a couple weeks ago. It is not as big as it seems and much smaller and lighter than my Provari. Also kgo battery last a long time on a single charge.

Epower does have replaceable batteries. You can buy KGO 1100mah batteries for $17 from darkcityvapor.com

i guess i will go Epower , but not the kit, i am going to see if i can use my current charger for it. i do have a 510 charger from that ecig my mom gave me.. and ill but a 3 pack of cartos and a few juices..

maybe i should just spring for the kit, that way i can try the dripping..

As far as the manual that is what i have with this CIGIREX and that 510 my mom gave me, i like the manual so that is good.. i dont want to deal with leaking issue..

I highly advise not to mix chargers. Only use the charger that comes with a battery. Some have different polarities and such. You don't want it blowing up in your face.

i am going to feel funny smoking this thing in a bar. i just know how some people are, they just are stuck in the old ways.. that is why i think the Ecigs are not as popular.. what i mean is not popular enough to kill the analog market, yet.. but i bet in 5 years that will be different..

I thought I would feel funny with my ego out in the bars and all too, surprisingly I just got a few what the hell is that thing questions and when I was in there last the ones asking what it was all had one too!

You'd really be better off getting the kit. You can get a kit including 2 batteries, charger, and a bunch of extras with free shipping at crystalclearvaping.com

The e-Powers take either 14650 or 18650 sized batteries. The first two digits are the diameter of the battery in millimeters. As you can see, one is much fatter than the other. You can't charge these batteries with your 510 charger. You need a lithium battery charger. You can get a Trustfire TR-001 charger for about $10 plus shipping, but it's cheaper just to get the kit that includes it.

You'll get over any funny feeling real quick. In a bar, it's a good conversation starter. If it's a non-smoking bar, they'll probably let you use it and you'll feel great when you don't have to hang out outside to smoke a cigarette.

your 510 charger isn't going to work on an e-power...you can buy a charger though for like about hmm 5 bucks maybe? try madvapes or my vapor store...of just sack up and buy the kit....

and if you are a single guy in a bar...you are going to get lots of inquiries from women lol...they will be all "what is that?" great conversation starter

I couldn't make up my mind with all of the choices out there. I didn't want to have my first vap experience to be negative. I got the KGO kit from Dark City and it is awesome. The battery lasts 2 days and I vap about 8 times a day. Usually about 5-7 good puffs each time.

I saw your initial post cholly. 8 times a day 5-7 puffs?? lord i take 5-7 puffs every five minutes lol

update.. so i get this disposable CIGIREX yesterday morning at the shell station. long story short i quit analogs. so i went on the site to find a black ops cigirex that was odorless and cool looking.. i went to a retailer down the road from me where i bought it for 21 bucks.. still cheaper than cigs and better IMO.

I gave the remainder of the disposable from the day before as a gift to try and see if she can be helped by this wonderful invention..

I am ok with the black ops model as its working a bit better than the disposable one so far..

Thats a ton of huffing! I'm using 20mg nic. If I puffed that much I'd feel like I inhaled a cigar - ouch!! Maybe I underestimated the amount I'm vaping but its not far off. I did smoke more cigs, usually about 15/day. Since I'm not sure how long the juice and cartos last, I'd say if I puffed every 1/2 hour for 5-7 minutes, this would cost way more than regular cigs, even in my NY market.

I first started with a menthol Cigirex as well! I've read a lot of posts about beginners wanting something that looks like an analog. I was one of them too, but that lasted about 3 weeks when I wanted more out of my vaping experience.
I now use an ego 18650 mod with a tank and I'm very happy with it. If you have the $$ I'd go with a Silver Bullet. My biggest issue was battery life per charge. I didn't want to have to fiddle with chargers and carrying extra batteries around.

So far the battery lasts all day, and i just plug in at night as i do my cell phone.. when everyone was upset that the smart phones would die, i was ok because i always charge when i can.. this ecig has been just fine with me charging at night..

yes i will get an Epower or Kgo etc, but i figured i was better off with this black ops just to buy me time to decide what nice one to get..

Joe..

Joe, I'm new to all this and have never used an Epower. But I bought a KGO from Dark City Vapor and have been really happy with it. About $43 gets you two batteries, a cone, a 5-pack of cartomizers and a charger. An extra $7 will get you a 5-pack of SmokTech 1.7 LR XL cartomizers (plus a free sample juice) that I like a better than the ones included in the KGO kit. Add a driptip or 2 and some juice and you're all set. All in, you'll be in that setup for about the cost of a carton of cigarettes.
