Yes, the vapor is warm like tobacco smoke. It's very similar.

...One last question though, What is the point of the led? wouldnt you be able to notice the vapor in your mouth? is it just for looks or does it do anything worthwhile?

Mainly for the looks. Many mods don't even have an LED (although I notice than many of the newer mods do).* It can have a certain diagnostic usefulness: if the vapor drops off and I see that the LED still lights up, that tells me that the problem is with the atty (usually it just needs more e-liquid). If it doesn't light up or it flashes, then I know the battery needs to be recharged.

* The VP series (VP1, VP2, and Spade) gives you the option of LED lights on or off. (Yes, that plural is deliberate, they have a ring of lights around the center of the PV rather than one light at the tip.) Put the battery in one way, they light up when you engage the manual switch. Put it in the other way and they don't (useful for stealth vaping).

As far as 'cheap' goes - you'd look long and hard to find a better deal than at cignot for an actual Joye 510 which according to recent reports is much better than the knockoffs sold as 'Vapor King'

So the 510 is a 2 piece model? I ask because I thought the 510 was 3 pieces and I have a vapor king and it is only 2 pieces.

So can I use my cartomizers on a 510?
I have heard a lot of people talk about them and they sound like something I may try, but I'm not into all that "tinkering" that goes on with the 3 piece models.

The 510 is a 3 piece and AFIK the only way to use a cartomizer is with a battery adapter.

Yep, as little as 5ml for $2.95. I have tried that flavor in 16mg and 11mg and the 16 is what was strong, imo.

the 510 is a 3 piece model...but theres a vendor called vapor kings that sells 510s, meanwhile the vendor V4L sells the "vapor king" which is actually a KR808D-1 model..confused yet? the rebranding/renaming of e-cig models by different vendors doesn't help to clear things up any..

It interests me because as a kid I used to pretend i was the marlboro man and I had like chaps and the whole deal. the only thing i didnt have was a real gun .
but i definately had my marlboro reds.

No, I haven't tried that. The flavors that came with my kit were Kamel/18mg and Virginia/16mg. They both were pretty good, however, the Virginia just tasted so much stronger than the Kamel. I have since ordered some empty carts. from them, and they sent me a sample of Virginia in 11mg and it wasn't that strong.

I ordered juice from a different supplier so that I could sample a bunch of different flavors, mostly "tobacco" flavors, and they all seem to be quite nice. They were (another brand of) Camel, Flue Cured, 555 and Ruyan #4. I got some sweet tasting stuff too.
You may have already mentioned this, but what did you regularly smoke? Menthol or non-menthol?

No the joye 510 is a 3 piece model but with the adapter you can fit a cartomizer on a 510 battery. I don't think the vapor king 510 is a joye and the 510 clones haven't faired all that well. Best is to get the 510 and get the adapter for cartomizers if you want to try them but for the long run they simply cost too much vs. juice. But there are circumstances where you might want to have a cartomizer around - driving, travel, etc. And if you ever upgrade to a mod, you'll have the most popular atomizer that is used with them. With the KR808D-1 kit you have nothing to use with a mod - you'll need an atomizer and then if you still want cartomizers you'll need to get an adapter anyway so that's why I'd recommend starting with the 510 and if you don't want to tinker and try out cartomizers get the adapter, but don't cut yourself off of some great juices that are not in some cartomizers.

ok I just recieved my ecig yesterday and, after a small adjustment period, I have not smoked since (and I am mainly using 0mg nic but in the morning and last night I got 6mg)
There is really no throat hit and the vapor isnt as warm as I would have expected. BUT i am absolutely loving it and dont think i will ever want to smoke again!
