Hey everyone. After researching and lurking for a week now, I am proud to say that I am now a vaper! My eGo-T arrived today and I'm quite pleased. Got it from Vapor Kings, and only have a tobacco flavor and clove flavor right now. Not too bad. The nic (only 11mg) is just about right and doing the job of keeping me from lighting up. An order from Virgin Vapors should be arriving soon, giving me some dessert options. Kinda want to smoke an analog right now but sticking with the vape. Need to quit my 20+ years of smoking, and I think this will do it!

I can finally understand why people gush on their first post. This is quite a liberating feeling!

Great forum. Excellent people here.

Yay for you! If you stick with the folks here you will be guided through the learning curve that at least I had to manuver. I have found that there is always something to learn and a better group of people you will never find. They are kind, considerate, thoughtful and generous with their time and understanding. I am so grateful to have found this forum and the souls here.

Congratulations! Don't worry, each day gets easier and in a little while you won't even want a cigarette! (or you'll make the mistake most of us have, and light one up to find that they're now disgusting in comparisson with flavored vapes!!)

Enjoy your new kit! Make sure to let us know if you have any questions :D

Yup. The Ego-T kit made my e-cig life easier when I was just starting out. I came to rely on them (kit went with 2 batts and 2 atomizers) more than the other kits I ordered (minis, 501s, penstyles; with auto/manual tank/carts). Unfortunately, they too will begin to perform bad after a month or so. You might want to consider buying and experimenting with cartos for them rather than rely too much on the supplied tanks in the kit which were nothing more than plastic containers with a hole in the bottom. They will start leaking eventually and you'll start tasting burnt vapor every now and then.

Try to get some Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers, EMDCC. They're easy to fill because they're fatter and they fit perfectly in your Ego-T batteries and they make your PV look very attractive (with stainless/black option). This is not the only type of carto for Egos. There's plenty of them to experiment with.)

Congrats on quitting and on joining the forum. :) You will love Virgin Vapors juice. That is all I vape! I love the Cherry Vanilla Swirl so good! What flavors did you order from them? I too have an eGo-T and love it. Just ordered a 510 atty for it along with a ming drip tip to try dripping and some boge cartimizers to try those on it too!

Thanks for the responses, everyone. This site is quickly becoming one of my favorite sites ever!

JQside - thanks for the hardware tips. As almost everyone says, wading thru the sea of information about hardware is at first very confusing. Thanks for providing specific info, including the pic! I will probably order some of them next week.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the switch! It is indeed a tremendously liberating feeling when you try it and realize just how good a substitute for analogs it really is -- in fact, how much better a substitute it is, not just for the obvious lack of thousands of chemicals and carcinogens, but for its smoothness, throat hit, and flavour, too. It's quite spectacular, and for me at least, the sense of wonder over these things and over never having to buy smokes again hasn't faded.

Now you get to go through the ups and downs of quitting analogs over the next few weeks. (Some significant downs at first, but once your body starts to get over the purge-and-heal phase, huge, huge ups.) Just remember: Stay well hydrated, and if you start feeling like things are going south -- your juice loses flavour, you're hacking up phlegmballs, getting unexpected acne, oily skin, stuff like that -- feel free to ask here. There are many changes your body may go through as it heals itself from years of tobacco abuse, and as irritating or inconvenient as they may get, they're signs that vaping works and you're healing. :) Push through the harder times and there's an amazing tobacco-free world beyond.

And, um ... if, after your tastebuds jump back to life, you feel like a bit of spicy food, do yourself a favour and go easy. Both ends of you may thank you...
