Some background info -- a while back I accidentally spilled soda onto my Prodigy (V1) and was going to send it in for repair work, but found out my backup wasn't so back-up (dead for no reason..figures.../sigh) so I took my Prodigy apart on my own, got it cleaned up enough and kept on vaping. I had occasional issues but I would take it apart, clean things up, put it back together ,and it would work.

Today it did the same, I did same, got a vape out of it, and dead again..uggh...repeat steps...put together...nothing. Thought I smelled something a little funny, took atomizer off, pushed the button, while my finger was on the copper end thingy (Brass maybe?) and it was HOT! HOTHOT kinda hot. Okay, great, the little thingy under the switch has died..I know that can happen... (regulator thingy? gosh I'm dumb..don't remember what it's called though, the part that's under the switch. black piece with little tube and wires going to both ends.) I take it apart again, to get that out, gonna order a new one (not even sure if it's under warranty or not, I got mine on Aug 5th) and screw all the pieces back together...and...somehow I cross thread the 901 adapter. I can't even get it off, although probably my son will be able to...not sure if he can rethread it, he has tools like that..waiting for him to show up anyway.

So here's me, no Prodigy, no backup. Now, I knew I should have a backup, but I planned on buying the V2 after Christmas...just hadn't gotten around to checking for it yet...Besides I had my Prodigy, my old work horse, I'm good! /sigh

So I come check it out. Yep, they're out, and not shipping til the end of January I guess....YIKES! /Cry

I need something, and I need it now. What can PS get me like...soonest? Can I pay extra shipping to have it even sooner?

Can I fix my current Prodigy? I still want my V2 I'm gonna go ahead and order, but, I also want my old Prodigy as backup. Is it fixable, if I cross threaded it? Will buying a new adapter work, or is the tube screwed? Can I order the piece/s and fix it myself?? Can I even GET a new regulator-thingy-under-the-pushbutton??

What's the Ace I see there at the site? Is it a suitable replacement until I can get a V2?

I gotta admit I've not really attempted to lessen my nicotine use. I don't smoke, but I vape. And I'm having a bit of panic attack now, thinking of not having my Prodigy....

HELP!

Thanks :)

OOO..watching the twitter widget on the side, I think it said "sold out except some 901 base kits??? I use 901! If I order this will it be shipped sooner than end of Jan/beginning of Feb??

Also if so I would still need to know what replacement parts for my old Prodigy 901 if it is indeed fixable...

Thanks again!

They can't rush shipping, your would probably get an ACE the fastest, and yes you can get your V1 fixed using the out of warranty service purchase.

Hmm, I'm probably in warranty on the regulator thingy (6 months is Feb) but they're not showing any adapters at the site (which probably is NOT in warranty as I totally caused this issue.)

I'm still eager to hear about the whole "901 base kit" thing to see if ordering this is as viable as ordering the Ace..(what IS an Ace..the picture is waaay too much black to even tell! And what voltage etc etc)

If I can get some info on the whole base kit thing, will it come as fast as an Ace, what's an Ace, etc. I'll decide on what to order and do it soonest (today I hope!)

I would probably prefer to order something NOW and sort out the repair of my V1 at a more leisurely rate...

The ACE is a 3.7v e-cig that uses cartomizers. If you are under warranty they will probably still fix it. You can purchase the repair service either way.

I think Steve said that if you are able to purchase it on the site you should be fine, but he was running out of adapters and stuff. He did say he had the most 901's though.

I am waiting on info on the V2 901, to see if it would actually ship now, instead of after the end of the month. I sent email from the site (which turns out is a ticket?), and plus this post here, so hopefully one or the other will be seen soonest...with Priority I could have it by Weds. if I got the order in today....

My son was able to get the adapter off, says it needs rethreading, he'll take care of that..so I could just order the switch which is at the site. I'll add that in with my V2 order. (assuming I *can* order that)

SOOO hoping this (or the email) gets seen soonest!
