I have a few x2s from smokeless image (which I love) and am curious about stepping up to variable vaping. The itaste MVP seems to be reasonable priced. I want to be sure I buy something that I will enjoy and that holds my interest for a while. Not something real complicated or expensive, but something that will improve my vape experience. If anyone knows the pros and cons of this device, I would love to hear from you. If anyone has any better ideas, I would like to hear those too!!! Also, I would like to know if the batteries in the itaste MVP are replaceable, or if the whole device has to be tossed once the batteries die??? Thanks

HEY, IT'S BUILT LIKE A TANK FOR ONE. BATTERY LIFE, ABOUT 400-500 CYCLES WHICH YOU SHOULD GET SICK OF IT IN A YEAR. 3-5 VOLTS,... HEY, IT'S GREAT FOR MOST CLEAROS EGO AND EVODISH TYPE STUFF. YOU WONT WANT TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES IN A YEAR AS THEY WILL LAST A LITTLE LONGER THAN THAT. THEM BEING SOLD out MOST OF THE TIME MUST TELL US SOMETHING. I SAY GO 4 IT..., BEST WISHES, daze

I was a little disappointed when I tried to charge my phone from it that it only managed half a charge of my phone (the phones not that great either), Ive heard you need to charge them with 5v 1Amp charger - can anyone confirm the best way to charge mine? Currently I give it 5v at 0.6A. I wouldn't want to blow up the house. As far as vaping goes its lasted me a couple of days. Ive also heard of a bug that makes it activate the atomiser after 999 puffs for 4 seconds. I think Innokin should give more information regarding charging and the firmware or software it runs. Great device, that could be greater with better support and documentation...

You can youtube iTaste MVP review

The MVP is a great device. It's lone shortcoming, the missing Ohm meter, will be rectified in the new MVP V2. That's a deal killer for me, but I will be waiting in line for the V2. The MVP is one of the few devices above the Spinner/Twist that does not have an Ohm meter. Even the little iTaste 3.0 has one. And yes, by the time you get to an advanced personal vaporizer (APV), you need an Ohm meter, imho, or a multimeter, and the knowledge of how to use one. Innokin is a bit strange in this regard. Not 100% sure, but I think even the new 134 doesn't have one either, but I may be wrong about that, and don't have one of those either. Seems like everything else, by everyone else, has one now, so I don't understand their product positioning. If that is not important to you, for whatever reason, then the MPV is a great device. Very long battery life, rechargeable usb internal battery, adjustable voltage, solid construction, durable, nice heft, etc. Good luck and best to you!

The only tip I would give with it - don't use the stainless ring spacer with your kanger / clearomiser / iclear 16's - if you screw in the iclear to tightly when you unscrew it, it you will lose all your liquid and have to use pliers to unscrew the base of the clearomiser. Made that mistake myself, now I only use the spacer thingy with my vivi nova

Good advice here, I've lost some Protank juice trying to unscrew it from the MVP. You have to be careful and not tighten the tank too tight, but I have the hang of it now. I didn't even realize you could use the beauty ring with the 16s, doesn't look right anyway.

As far as the ohms reader, meh. I apply ohms law and some quick math and then go up or down a few tenths of a volt, and it's just right. I suppose this might be an inconvenience for some but I'm fine with it. I guess if it were there (like it will be on the next version), I'd use it.

BTW, I use a 1.8ohm atomiser in my vivi nova on 4 volts. Would I get more 'taste' satisfaction if I switched to 2.8ohms and 5volts? Im still confused about the whole resistance thing
Just use the chart, no need to "figure it out" this will tell you what you need to know

Safe Vaping Power | Voltage | Resistance | Ohm Chart

on left is your atty or delivery device ohms
At top is what you set your battery to to get the watts where they meet in middle of chart.

Easy peasy.

Stay off the yellow area, that will be too coool of a vape. And pink / red is too hot, may either blow your coil or it will sure wear your batt down faster

so your 1.8 at 4.0 "just" falls into the red, you are getting 8.89 watts, do you see that?
Well, then look and see how else you can get around that wattage
Look at the chart. At 2.4ohm you can get 8.44 watts by setting battery to 4.5v
(not many people are gonna notice a huge difference betwen 8.89watt vape and a 8.44watt vape!) I know I can't.

2.8ohms at 5v gets you on the edge of the red/pink again....but youre getting 8.93 watts.
3.0 ohms at 5v is kinda better. You'll get 8.33 watts and your battery won't wear down so fast.

Understand when you are vaping in the pink your battery is going to wear down faster, so better to use higher ohms adn turn battery up

For what it's worth, I vape at about 6watts all the time

I won an iTaste MVP in a recent drawing. It's well constructed and looks like it could take some accidental abuse. Very attractive with a Kanger Protank clearo on top.

This device excels with clearomizers. I've used Kanger Evods and Protanks on it, in addition to the Innokin iClear 16 and 30 clearomizers. For whatever reason, mine will not accept a 510 threaded cartotank, either with or without the beauty ring adaptor. Likely is due to the center pin needing pulled up with mine, as I know of at least two other owners that have the same problem.

I sometimes accidentally turn my MVP off while vaping. If your finger lets off the fire button slightly while taking a puff it will turn off.

I charged my phone 100% with the MVP, just to see if it could.

As others have said, the battery is built-in and not replaceable. I get 2 - 3 days on a full charge.
