I have been only doing this for almost 4 weeks. I have been using the ego CE 4. Everything was great, but now they are messing up. I started looking online for something else. I am interested in the Kanger Mini Protank 2, Kanger EVOD, Kanger EVOC BBC, Vision V-tox. I only have a couple of ego 650's. I am also tight on money right now. Can any help me with this?

Don't know if you can re-wick those or not, but I have heard that replacing wick with cotton is the way to go. Butchers twine, I think is good. Can get at target or Wal-Mart.

I started with Kanger T3, then T3s, then just bought Mini couple days ago. I would recommend the Mini Protank 2. A lot of air, or I may say easier drags.

On the other hand, try looking at rewicking your tanks. I bought the wicks and wire a month ago and never spent since then except for buying the Mini Protank since I read a lot of good reviews.

If you don't wanna do rewicking, the wick on the Mini is replaceble if you wanna go that route.

Replace your wick/heads (if replaceable).

Use tanks with replaceable heads (if you like CE4 , Try CE4+, CE4s, CE5 etc).

EVODs are about 3-4 bucks and replacement heads are about a buck on fasttech. That won't break your bank.

Learn how to clean and dry burn properly. Watch some youtube videos on how to do that?

Cheers

Or if you don't want to go through all of this high maintenance, there are heads that have no maintenance and vape well and consistently for 10 - 14 days. All you have to do is once a day add eliquid. They are called carto-tanks. No muss, no fuss, no leaks, no maintenance and cost about $2 per carto.

Define "messing up".

You can pick from any of the Kanger BCC models as the experience will be largely similar. If you are using any tank cracker liquids you would want to get the glass models.

Sooner or later any of these - top coil CE4 or bottom coil anything - is gonna need cleaning. I've never found an easy way to effectively clean top coil clearos. With the Kanger bottom coils the liquids tube is completely removed when cleaning - makes it a lot more straightforward.

Also with BCC no tipping or rolling around to keep it going. And no dry hits either. As long as there is liquid in there it's gonna work right.

Step away from the wicks. The next step up would be a carto-tank. Just about the same price as all the Clearomizer derivatives and equally low replacement cost. While not as purist as RDA's, the carto-tanks do not tend to change the liquid (my liquids seemed to get darker and change flavor with clearomizers). Here are a couple links with prices... $5.34 U-DCT E-Cigarette Atomizer (3.5mL) - translucent / 1.8ohm / bottom locking ring at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Single Coil XL Tank replacement 510 cartomizer for 3.5 and 6ml SmokTank XL - w/flange and 1, 2 or 3 holes.

There is a bit of a learning curve with carto-tanks but it is worth it. In my opinion, more vapor and more flavor than wick style clearomizers. If you chose this path, the Baditude blog has some good information. If you choose to continue with wick style devices, you might try the Kanger T-2. Very similar to the CE4 but a little warmer vape. Make sure any device checks in at about 1.8 - 2.0 ohms as your eGo 650's are fixed at about 3.7 volts.

+1 for carto tanks.

Start up cost for carto tanks can be a bit of a shocker if you're used to buying $5-10 CE4's. I picked up a couple of the Smoktech UDTC tanks. They're not too expensive at approx $12 apiece with a carto included.

One of the features I like about them for beginners is the locking ring on the bottom. If you're not used to a carto tank in general, you won't have a juice accident if you grab it by the tank all the time. The locking ring in the bottom keeps the carto locked into the tank. It can be a bit more of a pain to refill because of that feature though.

If you do go the carto tank route, make sure to properly prime your carto. That will improve your tank experience quite a bit.

I did clean them, 2 of them are fine now, the other 2 are in the garbage. I also have 2 CE 4+ They are the only ones that are fine. I think maybe a bottom coil might be better. For me anyway, and easier. Besides, I have to keep myself entertained.

Get authentic EVOD, cheap and problem solved.
