Quality does not necessarily guarantee it hits your taste buds the way you like it.

It's no problem to take perfect, high quality ingredients and create a mess.
Can also happen that a 'cheap' label presses all the 'like' buttons on your palate at once.

I am not sure yet if there is anything like 'the' flavour at all - I enjoy the broad range of available flavorings.

But if the journey towards your own favourite everyday vape becomes too frustrating and too costly ( chucking out liquids frequently because they don't suit does add up ), you could give DIY a spin :

A flavour you like - get the same flavour from different makers - bascis mix - taste - tweak - taste :)

I can vape a wide range of fruit flavors, both cheapies and high end stuff.

With tobacco, I am very very picky preferring smooth NETs and some desserty profiles so I'll pay a lot more for the few that I like.

I love coffee but I just can't vape it. Always tastes like barf to me.

Everyone's different and some folks have peculiar aversions or sensitivites. Keep vaping what you like and toss in a sampler pack here and there to mix things up.

I am really picky with my juice. That's what I've discovered. I only really like about 2 juices, maybe 3. Am I a rarity?

Nope, not a rarity. I don't even want to admit how many bottles of juice we have in our vaping box that I won't touch. Stuff that I thought tasted great in the store, only to get home and wonder why the hell I even bought it in the first place. Out of maybe 15 to 25 flavors that we've bought, I only really really like 4 or 5 of them with maybe 2 of those being used only on rare occasions when I want something totally different. Thankfully my better half is not as picky as I am, she'll vape just about anything that I don't like. I don't know how she manages some of the liquids, like hops blood, to me it smells so acrid but she loves it. I just ask that she doesn't vape it in the car as it's overpowering to me in confined spaces.

The thing I find strange is when the shop tells me "it tastes like...." and to me it tastes nothing like that. One liquid they told me I'd love if I love my kiwi flavored liquid (which I do) and so I tried theirs and I'm like "that's not kiwi at all, that's pure egg custard (which i also like but it's not kiwi). I too tried some coffee flavored liquid and like the person above, to me it tasted like vomit. Although I've found if I really want to taste my liquid, I'll have a couple swigs of real coffee and swish it around my mouth and then vape, it seems to make the flavor of the liquid much more pronounced to me.

I had a draw full of juices I didn't like. Some that won contests for being the best coffee juice of the year and some with several recommendations. Couldn't vape them. Finally gave all of them away. Took me a while to find a juice vendor that has the same flavor profile I do and now it seems like every juice I try from this vendor I like. Even some fruity juices which I would never have thought I would like. Some smaller vendors will work with you to get the flavors you want right. Now I stick to three juice flavors all the time, then rotate my two other devices with other various flavors.

I stopped in a shop today since I was in the "Big City" and got really excited to see they carried a lot of the "Premium" flavors I keep reading about on here but never would put out the money for without trying them. I'm glad I didn't.

They carried Five Pawns and Suicide Bunny juices and I tried everything they had by both companies. Did not like one, not even Castle Long Reserve and Mother's Milk. My only thought was "How in the world do people vape this stuff?" I seriously thought my taste buds had gone wacko on me because everyone on these forums seems to love both.

Then I got home and my son had gone to our new favorite shop and picked up a couple flavors I had mentioned the last time I was there. Both taste amazing.

Just goes to show it's all a matter of individual tastes. One mans caviar is another mans stinky fish eggs.

It might also depend on the device you are using, unless it's several devices. I had one that I just didn't like (in my Nautilus), even after letting it steep for a long time. Then, I tried it in my Kayfun, and it tasted great. But, I agree with you, I've tried many juices that just tasted blah to me, even though several reviewers just loved them.

lol does anyone want to send me the liquids they dont like? :p
i'll vape pretty much anything I just get tired of liquids pretty easily. pink lemonade was awesome, but I vaped it for a week and then it was just meh
I just havent found a liquid I can really stick with. I love grape, but the only time I found one I liked, they were out of stock.
I also agree with what traijan was saying... I got a "cantaloupe kiwi" from uncle junk's and it tasted.... blue. not blue raspberry, not blueberry, just blue. I loved it, but I think I would like cantaloupe kiwi more
