I had a cigarette after 2 months of doing without. I know I have not smoked many and don't plan to smoke anymore but I am a bundle of nerves! Sad thing is, it tasted so good and that is not what I was hoping for!

My daughter had surgery Nov. 8th and I have been up there to care for her. She has had a really rough time. I just got home and get a message from my son in law that she was rushed to the ER by ambulance in severe pain. There is an obstruction in the stint they placed and she is now in emergency surgery. In 3 hours I will be headed back up there but not being there now is killing me. Any/all thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear the news, and I'm sure everyone here will have you and your daughter in their prayers.

This is just a setback as far as your breaking down and having a cigarette. Once things settle down, you can focus more on getting back on track with vaping. We have a saying on ECF, "Its not how many cigarettes you smoke that count, its the ones you didn't."

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Do NOT beat yourself up. You are going through a trying time right now. Your daughter is, and should be, your focus. Worry about the vaping/smoking thing after it settles down. Do try to vape but a cig here or there will not hurt you. Just keep your gear handy also.

Let us know how she is doing please!

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Don't even think about it. Just keep on vaping and forgive yourself.

You didn't blow a thing any more than you could blow living in general.

It's a lifestyle change, not something that necessarily has to stop like a switch going off, and you're not a failure if you have one or two during a trying time.

I really am not worried about the one cigarette (although I am a bit aggrivated with myself). I'm just sad it was good and not awful. I am thankful the hospital will let us vape there. While up there I did up my nicotine and think I am going to up it again.

Thanks for all the prayers, that means more than I could ever express!
