It depends on the state. Here in Idaho it's thought to be illegal (most folks think it is), but it's still available to order through the state liquor dispensary. If you don't want to wait for the order to come in, you can cross state lines and buy some...for example, Wyoming is about 60 miles from me and they regularly stock Everclear in their liquor stores.

That spiel aside, you should be able to use a 100 proof vodka and get the same effect. Just let it soak for 5 or 10 minutes and blow it out.

Ah ha, cucumber does to an atty what it does to me! Gawd, I can taste cucumber for hours after ingestion. When building a salad, I now cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and scoop out da seeds. That helps in my relief.

Did you remove da seeds from your joose...?

Yeah I could see it being a novelty exclusively, probably more of a pain than anything. Especially if it has such residual flavor.

As I'm sure you know, just make sure to rinse the isopropyl off thoroughly.

Seeing that just reminded me of my dream last night. My teeth were falling out. Weird.

Cucumber is a DELICIOUS flavor! One of my favorites. It tastes... like a cucumber I guess, but the dominant thing coming away from it is the crisp/freshness: like a cool breeze on a spring morning.

By itself it is very crisp, with a slight hint of "green" flavor (just like an actual cucumber IMO). I happily vape the stuff straight, but the best use of cucumber flavor is mixing with fruit & berry flavors. With these flavors the actual cucumber taste will not come through, but the crisp element will work wonders. I have used it to beef up acai juice for myself. I mix dragonfruit juice for my buddy: the dragonfruit flavor is very mild even in high concentrate, and adding some cucumber will amp up the flavor level significantly. Think of it like a turbocharger for an engine: the cucumber will not run the vehicle itself, but it will allow the engine (main flavor) to have much more power than it would standalone.

Other than tainting your equipment, how did the cucumber taste?

Some of those I want to try just out of pure curiosity.

I also want to get my hands on some Bacon, mix it with whiskey, to get a Mitch Morgan flavor.

ECBlends is fabulous! And I think they have bacon flavor, as well as whiskey.. you can create your own mix... I just ordered Black Pepper from them... I know, sounds disgusting!! But somebody around here somewhere said it was actually pretty good. We'll see

Yeah I was going to just have them mix it for me, but their Novelty flavors aren't available in the Create Your Own.

Should be easy enough to get 5mL of each, same MG content, and just mix them up in one of the (many) bottles I've got around.

Everybody I mention bacon too seems to be turned off entirely by it, but I want to try it at the very least.

I really dislike raw cucumber, but now with your turbo analogy, that make me think about trying a small bottle to add to my 'fainter' juices. I've been using cranberry for that, but lately it just isn't giving that OOMPH like it once did.

I was given a couple of samples of a juice called "Clearwater" by a vendor.

I had no idea what to expect so my imagination and expectations were pretty much a blank slate.

To me without any preconceptions, it tasted like a cool cucumber with a slight hint of parmesan cheese. Odd I thought, but somewhat refreshing nonetheless and not a bad taste at all.

Later I came across a reference somewhere that "Clearwater" was actually supposed to be some kind of watermelon blend? So I tried it again expecting my newly found preconceptions to alter the taste and help me nail it down. Regardless it still tasted like cucumber and parmesan to me!

"running alcohol" might be what moonshiners do. Yes, I meant rubbing alcohol, but maybe I was thinking about using moonshine to clean out my cartos?
If moonshine works I'd use it - Seriously tho, I thought you weren't supposed to use alcohol for cleaning these...not healthy & all that. If it works & is safe, I'd love to use it - not having terrific results with anything else I've tried.

I use rubbing (Isopropyl) alcohol all the time. It's a very good solvent and evaporates much quicker than water.

I try to stick to the highest percentage I can get so it evaporates even quicker. My grocery store carries 91% which works fine for me. But you can also get it in 50% and 70%.

Just have to be careful to not use it on any components that use any kind of glues, it will dissolve some glues. Though I haven't found anything yet that it's ruined.
