I use rubbing (Isopropyl) alcohol all the time. It's a very good solvent and evaporates much quicker than water.

I try to stick to the highest percentage I can get so it evaporates even quicker. My grocery store carries 91% which works fine for me. But you can also get it in 50% and 70%.

Just have to be careful to not use it on any components that use any kind of glues, it will dissolve some glues. Though I haven't found anything yet that it's ruined.
Does that rule out clearos & Ego-C's? Also, rinse w/hot water afterwards? Sorry to be a pain, it would be great to finally find something that works.

I've used it on Ego's, clearos, cartos, and tanks. After soaking I usually just let them air dry. If I'm in a hurry I use a can of compressed air to blow dry.

Once completely evaporated it leaves no residue. In 91% aclohol, the other 9% is just water. I just make sure to do a good dry burn on things like atomizers or the clearos before using.

To my knowledge Nothings been ruined by it yet. I've only been vaping a few months so if by chance I've shortened the life span of anything, I wouldn't know. But I have also used it in the past to clean sensitive electronics when other solvents weren't available.

There's vids on youtube that show cleaning e-cigs with isopropyl alcohol as well.

Cucumber e-Juice eh? I am a noob and still marvelling over all the flavors out there, Bacon, pepperoni Pizza, seen those, however, natural veggie flavors ? May I ask if it was obtained online ,and from what site? If its really cucumber, it will get its own tank. I use dehydrated alcohol, which I get from a lab supply company to soak my parts. dehydrated as in 100% ethyl alcohol, quite the degreaser and general cleaner. soaked overnight and agitated, then a few hours drying and not a hint of anything unwanted. Good luck, I hope you have success getting rid of that taste.
