 So my atomizer was starting to smell for some reason and I thought it would be a good idea to wash it...yea....not so much. (Good thing I have an extra from Steve on the way, ordered it just in case something happened lol :))

So this is what I did

1. took of atomizer
2. Boiled some hot water and put it in a bowl and added some hydrogen peroxide.
3. Placed the automizer inside hot water
4. "swished around" for about a minute or two and let it sit for 10
5. Grabbed an air can and dried it. (for a good ten minutes while watching some videos)
6. Placed back onto battery with cart

Result=doesn't smell but it's dead...:| Sooo what did I do wrong?

Take this info with a grain of salt.. I have heard a couple things around the forums and it could relate to your problem..

It could've possibly been caused the air can.. I have heard some stories around the forums that too much air pressure can damage the heating element.

I have also heard that a freshly-cleaned atomizer can seem dead for the first few puffs and then miraculously start working again..

Edit: Wow.. that is cool. Glad to head you got it working again!!

Could have been moisture left inside. Sometimes it seems they need a little bit of time to start back up after cleaning.

Not sure about the hydrogen peroxide. though. 1st time I've seen it mentioned on this board.

Yea well I didn't have any alcohol around the house so I thought ahh why not give it a try. The bad taste is now gone (not sure what it was) and it's smoking away with no problems. :D

it's definitley the moisture.....you can drip 5-6 drops in a nice clean atomizer, and if there's the slightest bit of water left, it sizzles a little and makes no vapour. I stick my near-dry atomizers in my hair dryer with the concentrator on and blow them out with the dryer facing up. The concentrator keeps them from falling out, and I just run it for 2 minutes or so. Bone dry! then drip 5 drops or so....let it sit cart side up for 5 minutes and it's back to business.

thanks for the tip I'll keep that in mind. Although I know that atomizer gets hot, I didn't realize how much heat it could take.

Perhaps that's why mine took so long to start working again, the canned air was blowing out some pretty cold air. Took a good 7 puffs and a 5 minute wait to get the atomizer to come back to life.
