I have been vaping since December. I have used cartos, carto tanks, clearos, and most recently a dripper. The first time I used a dripper I didnt enjoy it at all. But i played with it some more and now I love it. That should be a good thing. Problem is I love my Billet box for its ease of use and portability. But, cartos just won't do it for me anymore. I do have a diver v2 on the way and I am hoping that it makes my Billet box enough for me again.

I also have a hana modz v3 on the way (April delivery) and plan on getting a Russian for it. From all you drippers out there, will the Russian or kayfun give me the satisfaction I get from my trident with a .4 Ohm single coil?

I just got my trident, not subohming though. I have a KFL+ Clone and LOVE IT. its a tighter draw (which i prefer) but the flavor is phenomenal (once you get a good build on it). I vape around 1.3 and 1.7 with 28ga kanthal at 1/16 or 5/64 inner diameter. I think the flavor in the kfl+ is a bit better than my drippers, but I think tahts because I havent figured out the right build for the dripper yet.

From everything I've read on these forums, don't expect for it to top dripping for you. Kayfun is an AWESOME PERFORMER for a tank... It will not be as awesome as dripping, but it should be "close enough to get by" IMO. Its not like dropping back to a protank or anything.

I recently got a Patriot RDA and I have a EHPRO Kayfun Clone, Flavor wise the 2 go hand and hand, vapor production wise the kayfun is no comparison to my Patriot.

It also depends on what Ohm coil your wanting to put in the Kayfun. I ran a 0.8Ohm coil in my kayfun and it did kick out some pretty impressive vapor.

I run my patriot at around 0.50 or 0.55 Ohm (Dual Coil)

A Kayfun or Russian (clone or original) is pretty much the current best you can get in a tank (IMHO). Dripping can get more extreme - not sure exactly how you like to vape it - but the KF's and Ruskies will give you a muuuuuuch better vape than most non-rebuildable toppers.

Your .4 ohm build on your RDA (depending on coil config) might outperform them (again, depending on your def of that), might not. They are not in different leagues, though, and I'd say you're good to go.

Not the answer you were looking for... Reos Mods enjoy dripping without dripping... on the go... sounds to me like what you were wanting...

i may be out of line for throwing this at you... but... just trying to help... all the joys of dripping without the hassle...

So you won't be needing that billet box? Gimme!!!!

Lol.. I love my Billet box. It has been my go to since I got it. Sadly the last carto I put in was a dud and there aren't really any B&m stores around me to get the right cartos for it. Right now I'm running my trident at my couch and my mvp Protank 2 on the go.

Really really hoping the diver v2 fixes my flavor/heat needs now.

Glad to hear that the kayfun style tanks should save me. If they don't I'll pick up a 3D.

FYI the current coil is 28 gauge, 3 strands braided with a 4 wrap. Amazing.

So,........What is your skill level?

If you want something to perform like a Trident, you need it to function like a Trident.

X - coil Resistance
X - wicking capability
X - Air Flow across the wick

You might need to open up the Air tube to increase flow(Drill Press)
And replace the wimpy Drip Tip with a Wide Bore Tip

the vmod is a more affordable bottom feeder, especially when vapage runs their 50% off sale. its not as good as a reo, but i find it to be quite an awesome vape.

i am slowly becoming all RDA. i just cant shake the tanks as of yet because i do thoroughly enjoy my gennies and kayfun. but the ease of the drippers cant be ignored. i used to think the constant dripping was a chore, but now im pleased to drip every so often rather than tinker with a less-than-stellarly-performing tank.

I enjoy my high end gear and will probably grab a reo just to have it since it is so highly recommended. I can't bring myself to pay the premiums on the high end mechs like the nemesis, but I do love me some high end toppers toppers and variables. My trident is sitting on top of a magneto and I don't really plan on getting any more battery holders for hundreds of dollars.

you will probably prefer a LP Grand over a regular grand, it will allow you to use many other dripping attys compared to the regular grand which is slightly limited compared to the LP... that said...

when you inevitably get a reo... i am sure you will enjoy it... i was skeptic, i debated, now all i want are more reos... i have touched my svd (that my wife has adopted) only to rebuild kanger coils for her... aside from that just reos... its all i want, its all i vape... i enjoy it so much... i want many so i can change flavors frequently...

I can't see myself ever being a one mod kinda guy again. I love my Billet box, i love my trident on the magneto, I enjoy my svd and my mvp for what they are worth, but they don't come close to the magneto trident vape quality. I cant wait for my hana v3 to get here so I can have the sub Ohm vape quality with control at my finger tips. But, I will be ordering a reo now as well. Need to research the heck out of then to find what style best fits the way I vape.

There is no wicking/tank system that can replace the taste and performance of fresh juice, dripped or squonked directly on a coil.

BTW, I fixed your avatar for you.
