You guys need to get up to speed. Cotton is old school. Rayon is where it's at now boys.
Although I agree with Keferes on the nic and pg levels helping TH, I also believe TH can be affected by air flow. I think that's what gel drops is doing. Using a tighter draw to get a warmer hit.
I've tried rayon, and just don't care for it. Flavor, wicking, and lifespan (for me), was negligible when compared to my standard CVS cotton or Peaches and Cream setups. I am also that guy that saw no real benefit to the KGD cotton either, aside from the sheets make sizing it very simple. My biggest problem with the rayon was this... It felt extremely odd in my fingers. Like very slippery and smooth. I think the texture aspect is what turned me off most about it. Even working with it wearing a pair of Nitrile gloves, I just hated the texture. YMMV, of course, but that has been my experience.
My magma for some reason did not come with a drip tip I am using the one from the Patriot,I'm definitely going to have to invest in some more drip tips,no leaking issues with the magma, however a bunch of condensation build up on top piece,I think it's because of the drip tip they draw is extremely airy, even if the adjustable air flow ring is set on they smallest hole.
That is what came with the kayfun .That is rayon correct ?
Cotton is a natural fiber. Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber made from wood pulp. Silica is a synthetic fiber, if I'm not mistaken, made from fiberglass.
There's also yarn, Rami, hemp and others I am sure.
I think i saw a thread where a guy was stealing his GF Maxi-Pads to make wicks![]()
.
@regal... The Kayfun is one of the easiest systems to build for out there. What problems were you having? Maybe some pics of your build and we could help you get things straightened out.
