Wrapping the coil isn't so difficult, it is mounting it to the deck under those ridiculously tiny screws (tried the cheesehead.) without making hot spots. I want to see grandma do that.
You do leave the coil on whatever you used as a mandrel, right?

It's kind of odd...all these troubles with the kayfun...I think it's a great design. My first build on it was successful. I've only had one snafu...tried a different wicking technique that gave me dry hits...si I went back to the first kind I used...no issues since.
