As I understand it (from a Chinese vaper) E-cigarettes are still too expensive for most people in China, and smoking has a strong social element.

Does that agree with your experience?

a provari may be too expensive but e-cig at $20-50 is affordable by most smokers here.

Smoking really has a strong social element in China. Men like to offer each other cigarettes when they meet friends, business partners and even families. More expensive cigarettes means more respect. Young men buy branded cigarettes and send to their old man as gift on big holiday.

Another reason is all Chinese tobacco companies are state owned, government makes too much money and do nothing to ban smoking, but this year things is changing better, good to see that.
