Hiya,

So my fiancé is interested in buying a specific vapor pen called a Skycloud by Kandypens. They claim to be the world's first three-in-one type vaporizer, cost roughly $120 and have a lifetime warranty (or $90 on eBay without the warranty since you're buying through a third party). What makes it attractive, to specific people, is that you can apparently put finely ground dry tobacco or other herbal substances in it, nicotine e-liquid, and liquid herbal preparations. I don't get exactly whether it just comes with three different tanks or if one tank does all of this. Their coils and replacement parts are only manufactured and sold by the company itself, too. I don't know about anything, "herbal," or this company or device at all. Has anyone heard of these or used one? Is the proposed idea even realistic or is this a gimmick? I don't know how to shop for a vape that does multiple types of things or whatever, so I have no clue if this is a waste of money as well as if this really is the, "world's first," or if there are better products from other companies that do the three-in-one thing. For what it does, $120 actually seems a little cheap to me. You can look at it here... Kandypens - Skycloud : The world's first multi-functional vaporizer So should he buy this, (which basically equates me buying it for him :p) or is there something better out there - if this concept even works at all? For some reason I just have a feeling this thing looks like junk despite all the FAQs, demonstration videos, website quality and warranty... To me, it seems like you could just get a standard 510 battery and three different types of tanks for the different products, and then spend way less on everything altogether, and less in maintainence on the cost of coils and replacement parts. If that's the case, does anyone know if Kanger or Innokin or any of the other major brands sell atomizers that accommodate more or different things than just standard nicotine e-juice? Any opinions are well appreciated :)

Yeah I saw that V2 Cigs is coming out with one of those 3 in 1 devices. They have one for "loose leaf" and oils. Everyone know's damn well what the "loose leaf" is implying and I highly doubt they mean tobacco because that's why you're vaping in the first place. I personally don't like that aspect of e cigs because it brings a bad reputation to vaping. Once people find out that some are smoking illicit drugs with an e cig that's not gonna make us vapers look good. I don't see why such a huge company with a good rep is willing to do that. Maybe for the extra buck from stoners or maybe they're just that naive and really are talking about tobacco and other leaves like mint.
Horrendously overpriced.
650mah = fairly short battery life.
Proprietary battery / delivery device connection = have to buy more horrendously over priced attachments when they stop functioning.

As far as the 3 n 1 thing goes, most vapers try to distance themselves from the negative attention 2 of those 3 bring.

I'm fairly certain they mean tobacco.

Ya know, cause right about now, vapers look real good in the mainstream media.

Yeah... This looks like a fool's errand. I found about four or five devices and you just really can't tell anything about them except that they're all $80+, although two have ego and 510 threading which is kind of cool - but you'd really have to buy all four of them to find out what the hit and miss boils down to... One kit is made from multiple pieces including a Kanger battery that's just a build it yourself with random parts kind of thing slapped together by this one random guy. I agree that this concept totally taints vapers and vaping as well though because no one I know would use that for finely ground tobacco and because of people using vape pens and APVs for that purpose so frequently in my university green party town, I've been stopped by police out in public on several occasions now, just to ask me what was in my vapor pen. I'm actually embarrassed to use it in public most of the time because people, especially parents with kids shoot me this evil eye like, "I know what you're really up to with that thing." It makes me wanna shout, "it's just nicotine with hookah flavor, alright?!"
