I feel obsessed. I can't watch tv or do anything else except doing my research to learn more about vaping on my free time. Are there others like me? how long does it take to cool down?
It took me about three months to stop talking about vaping all the time.
But it only took about two months for my wife to get tired of me talking about it all the time.

It wasn't until I figured out how to get a consistently satisfactory vaping experience that I was able to stop thinking about it all the time.
It was at about that same time that I stopped talking about it all the time.

But I have to ask...

When you say "thinking about it all the time" are you still trying to find that consistently satisfactory vaping experience?
Or have you found that and are now moving on to the issues and politics surrounding vaping?

My boyfriend is happy with his original set up, I've moved on to many different tanks and an MVP and rebuilding coils. He makes fun of me even though he's the one that got me into vaping. He ran out of juice and asked me to take him to my fave vape shop. When we left, he said "I get it now."

:) win

I would say that I discovered a new world of pleasure and can't get enough of it. My mind has switch on button that is broken and can't shut it down all because of excitement.

It's like coming to the United States for the first time living in a jungle or from North Korea unable to fathom what to buy at a Costco, Home Depot, etc. Or maybe more like I had not been able to eat out of medical situation my whole life and now finally can indulge out of my healing.

9 weeks, 2 days, and 14 hours. Just kidding.

Don't worry. It will slow down for you eventually. There are so many things to learn that it takes a fair amount of time to soak it all in. I don't know how many times I've walked away from the computer thinking that I was done researching for awhile. Then as soon as I sit down in my easy chair I think of something else I want to research and I'm right back in the office again. Should have just stayed there in the first place.

Anyway, I know what you mean. If you're anything like me you probably enjoy learning all the new things. For me it seems like something is missing if I don't have anything new to discover. It's fun but it does drive me a bit crazy at times.

Hang in there and keep researching until your heart's content.

Exactly what Snowdog said!

And I have a double-whammy: I love the tech side of it all (first person to program my VCR clock to stop blinking 12:00, and programming my Commodore 64 computer!)

This plus the science, compounded by the politics of all the efforts to ban our life-saving options!!

NOTE: Go join CASAA.org - right now before you get distracted, don't worry, we'll wait for you to get back...

My workshop is missing me ...

Gotta go, the wife is going to be home soon and I need to make it look like it actually did something other than irritate the fine listeners / readers at NPR's website

I've been vaping over a year and a half. I've been on the computer since 9am today (except for lunch and filling the dishwasher) and its nearly 3pm. I've been reading and posting here, watching vape gear utubes and going to vendor sites. I do this 2 or 3 days a week and make myself do TOB stuff the rest of the time but I'm thinking about vape stuff while I'm doing it... soooooo.... does it ever endi... can't say yet.:vapor:... But if it does, I'll still be twittering/emailing on the daily and other actions as well as reading the media/legislative subs.

Kind of glad to see this ! I was starting to get worried, LoL

I could have started this post !!

I haven't even watched tv in almost 2 weeks. Only videos on mods, coil building, and reviews. I bet I've spent 6 hours a day if not more watching and reading on these things. It went from wanting to stop smoking to full blown hobby........QUICK !!!!

Get yourself a Google Chromecast and you can watch all that on your TV. Another gadget to play with while watching people play with gadgets! :)

You can thank me later.

Yes I was obsessed with vaping writings and readings for about a month or so. Now everyone in my family have quit smoking and vapeing like mad and I am obsessed with making little crochet holders for the bigger mods and some e-go twists cause these mods get cold in MN so we have to keep our mods warm if we don't have gloves. And then someone else see's my son or daughters cover and then they want one and it goes on and on. I am really thinking about selling these things but there just not perfect enough yet. I have like 10 of my own. LOL! What you will do to keep your hands busy instead of grabbing a cigarette. :O)

Heh, well I can tell you it's not 2 months into vaping. Because I started Vaping the first week of January and I STILL make plans on my off days around trips to different B&Ms. And on my work days: before and after work I scan this forum which then has me following links to different products and juices. My family has said "ya know, you are spending just as much money as you did when you smoked" and the family member who suggested I start vaping to quit cigs said "I've created a monster". Especially when my juice collection keeps growing and growing. I went from using a little tin can for my collection to needing something we hang on the pantry wall with little pouches. I've kinds lessened that collection by regifting some of the juices to another person...some of the ones that tasted good in the stores but not so much at home after a while..or ones I purchased online that were disappointing. I did learn quickly to buy the smallest bottle available first and go back and get the bigger bottle IF I continue to like the little bottle juices.
I'm hoping now that I have a Nautilus that I will enjoy the flavors so much I be buying hardware as much as I have (Protank 2s and 3s).
Since I started vaping I've bought my initial itaste 3, MVP 1 and MVP 2. Ran into a problem with the itaste so now it can only be used with one tank, so when when I to buy a second MVP2 I realized too late it was (I guess) an MVP 1 (vv only and no numbers on the screen to show battery life left). That's ok, I just wanted another back up to use since my itaste can only use the same tank now.
