Ive just had the strangest happenings, im looking for some feedback from anyone who may have had this experience. So ive been vaping the i-30 on my mvp2 for three days. It was working fine tonight until I took it off to play around with a protank i was given, when i went back to the i-30 it was completely unresponsive, everything is tight, i didnt jack the voltage when using the protank, and most strangley it does work on evod batt, and variable spinner batt, and it works on the mvp with a 5-10 adapter screwed on which should be redundant and unnecessary but why?? does it work? Or not work as it should? Please i am baffled by this. Thanks

It sounds like the battery center pin has been depressed a little too far and is not making contact with the iClear. The reason it works with an adapter is likely because 510 adapters tend to have just slightly longer connectors, which actually makes contact with the battery center post when it's depressed.

Thanks for the suggestions, i just tried the center pin trick and i got no results from that. But very good thoughts on the adapter protecting the threads of the mod, i hadent thought of that and im still fairly new to all this hardware and vaping for that matter, but this problem puzzles me still. I will use the adapter, its just not pretty cause it doesnt sit on my pretty ring waaaa get over it, right, right.

Using the 510 adapter isn't at all bad, it's protecting the threads on your mod. If the threads wear, get cross-threaded, damaged at all you can simply replace the adapter. Much easier than pulling the mod apart to replace the connector, I know from having to pull mods apart for repairs......

I bought an 510 to 510 adapter/extender just for that reason. But now I'm looking, and can't find a vendor that sells rings to match it up with higher tank. I would love to use the extender, but can't find any beauty rings to put on my mvp to raise the level up to the tank.

BTW the iClear 30s is pretty cool. Same 16 wicks but they inside that tube.

Have you used the 30S? I'm having the damnedest time with mine. All my other iclears(multiple 16's and one original 30) work great. But the 30S has to be turned all the up with and you have to take a primer type puff to get a good second puff. I hoping it's just the juice I have in it, but I'm waiting to change the juice till I run the coil bad.

Can't help you there, I've never bought a beauty ring of any size or style....:)
I like the look of exposed threading, a little steampunk, industrial look.

Yeah, it does give it a bit of an industrial look alright. There are, however, practical reasons for using beauty rings.

I use beauty rings myself, as it adds a little stability to the base of the tank. The 510 threads are the weakest link and may break off in the connector on the mod if you don't protect them. If that happens, getting them out can be a real problem, and if not done properly, may damage the mod itself. The wide flanged base of the beauty ring, distributes the force of an impact (dropping) or bending (like in a pocket) to help prevent this from happening.

Very good points..:)..I never worried about it as I have built my own mods and replacing the connector is just another vaping chore for me...YMMV. I may have to try a ring, cut down on my vaper maintenance time...

i forgot about the post adjustment, never had to do it before but i threw away an old ego twist yesterday that stopped working with any kind of attachment. i don't have 510 adapter. i figured the batt finally went dead but i pulled it out of the trash will try adjusting the post as soon as i can find a good tool to try it with.

This morning I had an iclear30 on my MVP and it just stopped working mid puff :( so I removed it and checked it on a SVD. It read 0.0. This is the 3rd time this happens to me in two weeks. Sucks.

Same thing happen to me right now.i think the MVP2 is having a lot of hiccups. I might just go back to using the first one ...

I know what the problem is and why people get 0.0 ohm when its new. There is this Lil coil you to make it stick out on the coil head. Look under it it is next to the little white rubber holder. The bottle of your coil! Make it stick out! And make sure you clean properly

My IClear 30 that shipped with my MVP 2 was non-firing right out of the box. The coil tube simply wasn't screwed in. Removed the top of the tank, pulled off the rubber cap from the coil tube (the tube was loose as hell and wobbled all over the place). Used a flat blade screwdriver to tighten the tube which caused the bottom 510 connection to protrude the proper amount. Problem fixed for me. I'd check this first before pulling/prying on the MVP connector pin.
