So I've been around on the forums for a little while, the whole time seeing and reading kayfun post after kayfun post. I hope all the raving is true, and it really is just that awesome. I ordered the svoemesto 3.1 polished ss. I'm definitely excited for it to arrive. Curious on the building

Congrats on the purchase!

I too have been tampering with the idea of buying a k-fun. I think its going to be my first rebuildable. Right now i just have a protank and a nautilus and a couple evod style tanks.

Whats a svoemesto 3.1 tho? is it a type of kayfun? or is it the name of a clone!? ive never heard of that.

Svoemesto is the Company behind the Kayfun, and 3.1 is just the nomenclature...it is known as the Kayfun 3.1.

I recently just picked up a 3.1 clone from c2cvaping and it's working really well!

I bought a Kayfun 3.1 clone and liked it very much but wanted the real deal, since the deck screws were showing rust. So I bought two SvoeMesto legit Kayfun ES 3.1 beta and they are a fine atomizer. Easy to build and quality all the way. You will not be disappointed.

Last week I ordered a Kayfun Lite Plus V2 from Cloud9vaping in the UK...still waiting for it arrive. Not happy SvoeMesto changed the style of the drip tip on the new V2 Plus.

Do you guys think i should spend the money to get an authentic one, or save and get a clone. Like i stated, it will be my first rba.

You'll have to make that decision but imo if you're not the type that likes to tinker then go authentic. The clones can and some do perform just like the originals but quality control and specs can be a little different so you might have to work a little to get them that way. You might get one that performs wonderfully without working it or you might not.

For instance mine came with a complementary gift of excess machine oil that needed to be removed, an air hole that wasn't drilled as big as the original so that needed drilled bigger, some burrs in the center air channel and crunchy threads that needed to be worked out. In all took me about 30 min and it performs awesome, would it have worked out of the box, yes but not like it's capable of and I didn't mind doing it for the savings.

Ehpro and hcigar clones of the kayfun are fine, especially if you're not looking to jump in head first.

The real mccoy is, however, better machined, which can be important with a vacuum tank. I have a Russian (a 'clone' made by one of the original kayfun developers, regarded as being on par with the authentic kayfun) and the difference is notable - not necessarily in terms of performance today, but I suspect it will hold up to continued use better.
