What should I shoot for (ohms) on a Kayfun mini sitting on a mech?

Hello everyone!

Well, I have fallen head over heels in love with Kayfuns. Two weeks ago I got my first kayfun 3.1 in. Two days later I ordered a second one. This week, I ordered my third one, which was the Kayfun mini. The first two, one is sitting at 1.8 ohms, 30 gauge kanthal on a Provari at 4.8 v. Wonderful vapor and flavor. The other is the same on a Tesla. Perfect for both.

Now originally I got this Kayfun mini to put on my MVP, but I gave my MVP away this weekend to my stepdaughter who had only a couple of rickety ego style batteries that were falling apart and she just rented a new apt and is a bit broke, so I felt bad and gave it to her. I do have a Magneto sitting here not being used, though.

Now, I tried out the 1.8 ohm Kayfun 3.1 on the Magneto and it's lackluster in vapor. What should I be shooting for, ohm-wise, for the mech? I have read that the Kayfuns don't really perform their best sub ohm. They don't seem to perform well at 1.8 on a mech, either. I'm wondering what the sweet spot is for some of you?

I have plenty of 30 gauge kanthal and 3mm wick to experiment with. Plenty of IMR 18650, 350, batteries around. Thanks in advance!

my lite runs nice with a 1.5 coil, its fugly but it works. almost a micro coil but im still working on my technique for those, just wrapped it round a qtip stick that i cut the ends off. it runs fine on my regulated mods too, just have to turn it up a bit. i want to say its 8 wraps of 28guage with a doubled over 2mm silica that i pulled through with a small piece of wire.

Check out this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-check-out-my-nano-dragon-coil-build-10.html

I did a 10 wrap around a 1/16" drill bit, then mounted the coil vertically just above the air intake. The drill bit fit into the air hole so that I could adjust the height an align it properly and attach the wire leads. Then surrounded the coil with loose cotton. Works like crazy. Need to change wick? Just unscrew the funnel top, pull out cotton, and put fresh cotton in. Drip with juice, assemble and fill, good to go. It's the Volcanic Dragon Nano build. Hit's as good as my genie, but with out the fuss. Quick on the heat up, nice even red glow. Simply the best build I've done on my Kayfun style rba. Scroll down and there's a vid of a Kayfun lite with this setup.

Dice, do you have a pick of how you place the cotton when dry??

I'm currently running at 0.6 ohm using a standard placement of the coil. Mine is a 5 wrap using 26 gauge and the draw is super tight (which I don't like), even with the screw in place, but screwed out flush with the body of the Kayfun.
