I FINALLY pulled the trigger on the SS Vamo. After months of debating, researching, giving up, asking questions, and starting over, I finally did it.

Ordered from free-cigs.com with 2 eFest 18350s, a 6ML DCT and a 3.0 ohm single coil carto (just to try it, only had dual coils up to this point) for a total of like $74.00 (including shipping insurance that seems pointless, but for $2.50, why not I guess.)

It took a couple o vodkas to finally work up the courage. I can't wait to demote my puny ego twists to back-up/out at the bars status (I tend to lose things at bars.)

The funny thing is, a deal on Panasonic 18650s on Amazon (only 4 left at the time!) is what made me pull the trigger. I ordered the batteries and realized I had nothing to put them in. That put the pressure on. Since I already asked the charger question in a previous post, I will spare you a repeat question and ask: what now? Do I upgrade tanks? Find new juices? What do I obsess and research over now?

Sorry, had to share my excitement. My first official vapemail wait begins... now!

What a novel way to adopt to find the need to get something -- buy batteries only to find you have nothing to put them in... Will have to remember that... :)

Congrats on making the order... I'm waiting for mine to come in the post too - one black chrome and one chrome... Didn't need an excuse, but still took a good while to work up the courage... :)

I think you will be well pleased with your vape mail !
Let the stalking begin.

Now...you should start researching The Natural- as your first fully mechanical mod....
Have a little drink and a vape...there...you feel great....You have the batteries....
Look at the shiny Stainless steel...maybe just top that drink off...again...look at that price- under 50 bucks...

I think Juices, a few places to start:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../401497-what-your-top-3-juices-right-now.html
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...394623-your-best-worst-juice-youve-tried.html

Then i pulled places people liked and built an excel doc to price it per ml and then started ordering to try different things.

Oh may I join in this conversation? lol I've not been out here on ecf in ages. So much so that the vv ego wasn't invented yet. I read all about the vamo on here and the next day, I pulled the trigger and my ss vamo is out for delivery. Oh why does my mailman not come until 5pm? I've always used the classic ego type batts and a cheapo 5v passthru so this will be a whole new experience. I'll be interested to hear what everyone else thinks who is new to using a vamo. Happy vaping to you all. :)

The suspense is killing me...

VAMO, 2 18350's, 6ML Tank:

Depart USPS Sort Facility April 12, 2013 -
Arrival at Post Office April 12, 2013 - 3:58 am
Sorting Complete April 12, 2013 - 7:51 am
Out for Delivery April 12, 2013 - 8:01 am

NiteCore I4:

April 12, 2013 03:57:00 AM Out for delivery
April 12, 2013 02:07:00 AM Arrival Scan

The only bittersweet part is I have to work at 4 PM, and since everything I read tells me I can't charge my batteries "unattended", that means I will have to wait until I get off work to charge those bad boys and fire my Vamo up for the first APV hit of my life. But still, TODAY IS THE DAY!

DJ RyckRak, you seem to know how my brain works (after a cocktail or two). If you have the patience, could you possibly explain what the benefits of a mechanical mod are? I am quite ignorant when it comes to matters of the vape.

Relaxed, thanks for the suggestions. Any chance you would like to share said excel doc with the group? I have to date only found 2 or 3 juices that I really like, and they are from a local B&M shop and run $20 for a 30ML. Delicious juice, but it seems a bit spendy and I would like to find a few more flavors that I like.

I'm glad some of you enjoy my "order the batteries first" method. It seemed to work well for me, although my Panisonic 18650s showed up a few days ago, and I am still awaiting the arrival of the vamo and charger. These little grey guys are gettin lonely, sitting there unused in their plastic wrap!

My B&M is $10 per 5ml, its nice that I can sample juices there, but its a bit high priced being I can order and pay shipping online for about the same. There other items are 200% or 300% markup as well. I've been avoiding the place.

View attachment Juice.xlsx

The excel doc is attached, highlights in green are places I have tried thus far. Hope it helps.

Still yet to find anything I absolutly like. The best so far for me and my tastes have been Vons ADV from alt cig, Unicorn Blood from Fuzion, and Thug Juice from mbv. I never smoked menthol analogs but Vons and Thug are both kinda menthol like.

I am waiting on 4 more orders to roll in, does anyone else find themselves refreshing the usps tracking constantly?

I just ordered the VAMO V2 SS a few minutes ago from them as well. $49.99 shipped was a great deal. I've been thinking about buying one for a week or so and finally pulled the trigger....I already have batts and a charger and tanks that I like...I cant wait....

I've had my SS Vamo for about 3 weeks now. I use it only in short mode with a single 18350 battery. Love it, but it doesn't produce a vape superior to what I get from my 1300mah Vision Spinners (variable voltage).

Within 2 days of getting the Vamo I took some 220 grit sandpaper to the body to turn the satin polished finish into a matte finish. MUCH easier to hold on to now, doesn't feel slippery any more, has a bit of tackiness to the feel and some might say to the look as well, but it looks great to me. I took a very modest amount of time to put some masking tape on the top ring and to create a rectangle where the buttons and screen are, so that those areas along with the battery cap still have the satin polished finish.

Going to VV with the Spinners and the Vamo (VW too on that) was a huge improvement in vape quality. Getting a couple of Kanger Protanks was an equally huge improvement. I've only used clearos and I intend to forever avoid investigating other delivery systems. The Protank is steps above any of the clearos I used previously. Some people don't like the amount of air that you pull in with the Protank but many people like me think that's what makes it so great. Catskill Mountain Vapor Store has the Protank for $15 with free shipping... best price around. Weird shopping cart and registration but just put n/a on the lines you're required to fill in that are not applicable. I got one of my two Protanks from there.

I know this thread is about the Vamo but the OP had asked what was next. Regarding joose: until you start mixing your own, Mt Baker Vapor is my recommendation. $5 for 15ml, $7.50 for 30ml, $11 for 50ml, $36 for 236ml.
