I've wanted to get into mechanicals and rda's for quite some time now. I didn't want to break the bank on my first mech and rda, so I shopped around for a great deal and found 101 Vape. I decided, after much investigation, and decided on a Brass Nemesis Clone and a Plume Veil Clone. Yes, I heard about the concerns with the positive post on the Plume Veil, but that is the chance you take with clones, and the majority of the reviews have not seemed to have major problems. I also have been hearing positive things about 101 Vape and I do have concerns when dealing on ebay (I do have some trusted vendors for supplies on ebay though). I went with the Nemesis because I am planning on getting the Ultimate Upgrade from FatDaddyVapes for the switch and contacts. I will post some pictures of the arrival when it comes in.

Yes x6. I am an old refrigeration mechanic, so anything electrical is not a problem. However, I have been brushing up on everything and doing lots and lots of reading. I also have been using a Vamo V5 with a Smok RSST for about a year now (yes, The Vamo has lasted that long:?:), so that has been my intro to rebuildables. I have been using an I4 Intellicharger and just purchased 2 VTC4's to start off with, along with a cartomizer ohm meter. Think I'll be getting a couple Purple Efest's next. I have been reading a lot on battery safety.

Just know that the purple efests , if we're talking about the 2500mah 35A, are rebranded and do not have a 35A continuous discharge. They're rebranded LG HE2's that have a 20A rating.

I have heard so much on batteries that I am wondering if I should just give up vaping altogether.....nah...lol. Seriously, I have also heard that Sony discontinued the manufacture of their 18650's awhile ago. They were originally manufactured for other manufacturers and not intended for the public. So, these batteries that say Sony, are not (hey, I bought them before knowing this). Everywhere I look suppliers are saying the LG HE2's are 35A max discharge:confused:. Here is a to a video that could be of interest.

Don't believe them. Baditude is our resident battery expert and has done extensive testing and research on batteries.

Check out the post by Baditude in Susan's reply above. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...17-purple-efest-batteries-not-advertised.html

The HE2's way underperform when compared to the VCT5's which are 30A. If they're performing below a 30A battery, there is no way they are 35A.

I have the FatDaddy kit on my Hcigar Nemesis and it works fantastic. Just make sure that you read this before buying. Not sure which clone you bought, but apparently the Hcigar version has changes and the kit will not work without modification. Directly from FatDaddy:

NEMESIS: If you have a new production HCigar clone, please do not use any of the upgrades being offered in this page. HCigar messed up and used a tapered ANSI standard to tap their button holes on the Nemesis. They did not do a second pass with a DIN tap. We will not redo the Nemesis negative contacts to accommodate this mistake since it will create a loose fit for the authentic and all the other clones. If you bought our contact for your new production HCigar and find it screwing only halfway on the negative, you will need to file it to taper the fit. No one sells a tapered version.

I don't know who makes the one from 101 Vape. Pretty sure it is not an Hcigar. I looked closely at the tap holes for the contacts and they don't look tapered.
