I've been telling people I've met and my friends to switch for years and not one did. I myself use a vaporizer for [edited] so i don't need an e-cigarette but I want to buy one so I can let smokers test it. I want a model and liquid that is closest to smoking. I'm even willing to make a diy e-cigarette and custom liquid to get the right effect.

Watch how hard you preach to people. It can actually just turn them off completely and just start to annoy them.

Forward them to this site, maybe buy an njoy or something *8 bucks from your local gas station/grocery store* and they will ask as you use it. But definitely definitely definitely definitely forward them here, there is so much information to give and to take in.

Sadly most of them don't speak English. I don't think they are willing to invest much time to read into the e-cigarette. I'm not persistent about it and I'm pretty good at talking with people. Most of them are very depressed and they don't have a lot energy to spend. I think if I have a good quality e-cigarette that has the "flash" effect and good quantity of vapor, smoke taste etc., a nice chart that shows how much money they can safe and not some cheap ... model with overpriced coils, many will switch. Most just don't want to spend a lot of money and time on something they don't know they'll like.

I just started vaping a month ago and have grown to really love it versus the cigarettes I smoked for years. There are so many positives it's hard for me not to be really enthusiastic. Having said that, I have some family members that I would like to try it as well, and my plan is to invite them over and have a little tasting party so they can try it with no pressure to commit. I'm hoping this approach can encourage without pressuring...

good luck
Mike

Hi

Don't forget the international time differences. I usually find most people from Germany don't start posting for a few more hours.

That, and the way you put the question is so broad that it may not get many replies. You are trying to guess what someone else might want, telling us you you might think fits that - as a non smoker even - and asking for suggestions. That's really hard to read into and suggest much.

I can tell you this much: If you have no idea if giving someone an e-cig kit doesn't even stand a chance of getting out of the packaging there is no point is spending a lot of money here. It won't matter if it's the cheapest disposable you can find or an expensive mod - if they don't want to quit smoking right now they won't find any reason to want to vape. If you are just tossing them at disinterested smokers stick with something like a $14.99 USD eGo kit that comes with a charger and a clearo, or disposables.

There is no liquid that equates to smoking. Most people new to vaping have to get beyond that in short order. It can't taste like a cigarette because you aren't burning anything. As it is, most new people seem to prefer that vaping doesn't taste at all like smoking and head as far away from it as possible, right into the fruit and dessert flavored liquids. Again - not something I would try to second guess as to what someone will or won't like. But "like a cigarette"? - ain't gonna happen.

I have been smoking on and off for 31 years before I decided to try right before last christmas.

To tell you the truth, I really had doubt that it would work. I've resisted while seeing my colleague fall by the way side one by one after trying it a few days/weeks/months.

Why I did it? well, I guess it was about time for me to stop...... trying to convince smokers to stop will be an effort, a noble one. Don't get dishearten if fail........ it doesn't hurt to keep on trying......

p/s..... I actually managed to convince my staff to change, and he did. How? well, when I first started, he told me if I, a hard core smoker to him, can last two weeks....... he will follow me and he did.

I'm monstly interested in a model that is as close to smoking a cigarette as possible. I can remember reading about people customizing their liquids and buying models with highter voltage etc. to get a better "flash" effect. I liked the models where you could wind your own coils. I sadly don't remember thair names and they probably are outdated by now.

For an inexpensive, and not-too bad starter kit, take a look at this:

https://www.fasttech.com/product/1411617

(Also scroll down to "Available models and parts:" lower-right, to see other choices).

This is NOT an automatic e-cigarette (where you just inhale on it and it turns on) it's a "manual" one, which means you need to press a button on the side when using it.

It's a fairly decent starter kit for small bucks (if you're patient - takes a while to get anywhere from China!)
