I can't believe I quit smoking!

Thanks again to all. Sure, later I'd like to post some reviews (maybe?) or at least how my vaping experience goes. And yes, if possible I want to have my lungs back like they were before I started smoking. My doctor once said that 5 years after a smoker stops smoking, his lung can get back to pink like those of a teenage non-smoker (not brown or black like other smokers). I don't know if he was just trying to persuade me to quit smoking (which I did not not then) or if it's true. Does anyone know about it?

Congratulations with quitting! I'm in the same boat - I tried the disposable - only the tobacco shop got me for $20 and not $10 - so they made money off of my impulse =)

Being just a couple days into the e-cigs, I decided to have half a cigarette today figuring it would resolve some of the "strangeness" from quitting tobacco (like the weird throat feeling, etc). Ultimately, it tasted horrible, gave me a sore throat, and showed me that I did the right thing lol.

Sorry to hear your being ripped off by the tobacco shop. Clearly they didn't want you to stop buying their tobacco products.
But yes, you did the right thing by starting to vape a disposable one. Next time buy 510 or other kits. They've been working good for me and I'm happy.

Thank you! More interestingly, the unit that I purchased was defective lol. I did call the distributor and they were more than happy to send out another unit. I must say that the whole experience didn't help harvest any brand loyalty =) So, I purchased a V-cig kit to get started with vaping, with some fluid from vapesafe - and I'm happy (for now).

I'll be checking out the 510 - simply because I'd like more vapor and an extended battery life =)

Thanks for the tip!

@ Rosa: Thanks for the link to the simulated picture. It's good to know that, it's kind of motivating us to keep staying away from analogs.

@ Whitesoul8: Let me know about your experience with V-cig. So far I'm happy with Joye 510 and Ego, and I'm learning to mix some e-juice to get a flavor that I'll enjoy most.

@Oceanmist and other senior members (not necessarily old though), thanks for welcoming us.

So far, I'm liking the V-cig because it's a small unit that feels like I'm smoking a cigarette. I did notice it took a couple of days for the atomizer to break in. I'm getting much more pseudo-smoke and much fuller hits now that it's a few days old. I think their Vanilla flavored carts are my favorites so far - I usually top them off with VapeSafe.com's "serenity"....

I just ordered a second battery & atomizer so I have backups ...

My only wishes would be:

1 - the battery lasted longer
2 - the unit required less draw (I feel like I'm drawing so hard that my head is going to be sucked into the cart sometimes)

It was recommended to me in the forums to try the 510, so that may be my next purchase - I'm curious to see what they're about... I'd really like to find a unit that produces as much vapor as a fog machine...

ICan'tBelieveIQuitSmoking, let me join the congratulants :)

I have now been vaping solely for little over a month, and can already feel the physical improvements.
My motivation to start was that I felt signs of (lung-)detoriation, caused by the tobacco, after more than 30 years in total of smoking.

imo, vaping really is a alternative, compared to many other methods.

Pro's:
The smell (body, clothes, rooms, ..) is vanishing.
You still have the cig. feel (I like that) - and now with funky flavours
A new hobby (buying, tweaking, mixing liquids, researching,....)
Money saving (ssssh...(hush)!)

Con's:
Not really - if you don't mind the looks of a drug addict's home with all the bottles and pipettes e.t.c. from mixing :)

I believe that many a smoker would start to vape, once they realize the benefits - and get a good start. There IS a learning curve with all the possible stuff that you can buy and use.

Vape on :)

I quited a month ago and i cant belive it as well. It was easier than i have ever thought and all thanks to e cigi. The pros of quiting analogs are very obvious and when it comes to cons... just becouse of all the syringes, needles, bottles and mixing equipment sometimes i think of myself as 'nicotine junkie' :p

@ Rosa: If that simulation is correct than i may sing up for marathon :)

Hellllllloooooo and WELCOME! Congratulations on quitting smoking and switching to vaping! I believe all of us ex-smokers know the horrible hardships of trying to quit tobacco -- I have never in my life been able to quit smoking with the greatest of ease that doing so with this marvelous electronic cigarette invention has made possible (BLESS THE ECIG CREATOR HON LIK FOREVERMORE!). So glad you stopped smoking and started vaping!

Congratulations again, and Vape ON!

Me too.......it's been about 80 days since my last anolog. Full pack a day smoker, really wanted to quit. Purchased basic unit from mall, exchanged it one week later for manual unit and now WAITING for my Ego-T in the mail. Just got two of my close freinds to order their PV's. I'm still working on my wife, maybe some day.......Thanks to ECF for all the help and info!

Now that I'm just shy of a week of vaping, I'm already allergic to analog cigarette 2nd hand smoke! I can already smell the nastiness that collected in my car from smoking, and it is soo disgusting!

Since I've received the e-cig, I smoked 1/2 a cigarette on the first and second days. By day two, I found the cigarette to be an irritant that gave me a sore throat and I definitely prefer to flavor and experience of vaping OVER real cigarettes.

I must say that the whole dripping concept confused me until I dropped e-juice on the atomizer and capped the e-cig with an empty cart. I find that the pre-filled carts are only good for a few drags then they seem to dry out at the end, giving a very week smoke.

Since I like the v-cig by Volcano, and don't care for the short battery life, I got wise and ordered a second atomizer and a second battery. My curiosity has me to try that 510 though =)
