I agree somewhat, but I would hate for the provari to be my "starter" apv and put it through that kind of abuse. I obviously need to form some better habits with my devices. I'm thinking that after 6 months or a year of no smoking, I may reward myself with the infamous provari!
You have it backwards. That kind of abuse is what it is made for. I have dropped mine with impunity more times than I can count, saving me money on all the others that would have been trashed.
Westfield is about 50 miles south of me, I'm closer to Lake Ontario - I'm hoping that being so far west, we aren't going to get hit too bad, but they are predicting gusts up to 60 mph.

I heard a story on here that a construction worker left his provari on top of the tire of a dump truck and got distracted. The driver drove off and the Provari got run over. The juice tank got smashed but the Provari survived with only some nicks and scratches, and continued to work flawlessly.
So they are constructed to take a lot of abuse, not that you would want to subject it to any intentionally. I've dropped mine several times on concrete in parking lots. Not a problem. Mine is protected against scratches with my DIY rubber sleeve cut from a motorcycle handle bar grip.
Yeah the provari is definitely solid. I think the most sturdiest has to be the Reo grand, I owned one for a while. You can actually submerge the thing in water and it will still work.
