Hello folks, just doing my posts so I can comment on stuff a bit more freely.
Started vaping a little while ago, still smoking but cut in half so far. At this point in my process I am having trouble at the work because I can't vape inside and I can only get away from my desk about every three hours due to the nature of my position. By that time I pop outside quickly inhale a smoke or two and run back inside for another 3 hours. At home I seem to do ok, usually one when I get up and one when I go to bed because I can vape at regular intervals here.
Started out with some emow Mega's and now using Nautilus mini's on a SVD for my all the time vapes and using the emow and some evod tanks for the extra juice I have once in a while for a change.

Welcome, may I suggest you use a much higher nic strength for work? A few hits of higher nic on your short breaks and you might just be able to kick the tobacco completely. The nicotine is absorbed slower when vaping but that means it sticks with you a bit longer and could make your 3 hour intervals more tolerable.

Hi and welcome to ECF!

I know that just nicotine wasn't doing it for me, so I got some of the WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkaloid) ejiuces, and use that when the cravings are particularly strong. Seems to work pretty well for me YMMV. I, too haven't completely quit, but am down to 4 a day from 35 a day for 40+ years.

Don't beat yourself up about it- it's the ones you DON'T smoke that count :)

Great having you here and Happy Vaping!

I have been wondering to myself if it isn't the other crap in the smokes that get to me and not the nicotine itself that I am jonesing for.

That's a possibility too. I went through quitting tobacco at about same time as two of my co-workers and here's the story on short:

Me - 1 pack a day or more of strong cigs (Du Maurier or Nr 7 reds in 25 cig packs)
Guy #1 - same as me
Guy #2 - half a pack per day of lights something

I was able to switch completely to 18mg liquid at first attempt, with no tobacco cravings
Guy #1 tried first with 6mg nic and it didn't work; I gave him some of my 18mg and it worked at first attempt, he quit tobacco over a weekend.
Guy #2 tried first with 8mg and didn't work, we shared some 18mg with him and still no workie, he has some terrible cravings for tobacco at least once per day

They have crab flavoured e-juice? I'm fairly new to vaping too.

@chickennuggets, what I found with my limited experience was that you will get to a point where the analog cigarette will taste like absolute s#&t...once this happens, you won't want a real one anymore. At least that's how I kicked smoking . I've been analog free for a little a month now and won't go back. Just keep at it.

Good luck

I'm not really "supposed" to vape in the office either, but I stealth vape anyway. I keep a small fan running in my cube to disperse the vapor and just do smaller hits and hold it in longer so there's not as much vapor on the exhale. The bathroom also works really good too, as long as you don't have a big communal restroom where it would look like there was a fire in the stall.
