Don't sweat it. I was in the same boat, really didn't intend to quit, then figured I could so I decided to. I had a rocky start until I found the right nicotine level, and I keep a bottle of 30 mg for emergencies. But, being the self-critical person that I am, I found myself beating myself up over CRAVING a cig, even if I avoided smoking one. Smoking one felt like failure. It is counter-productive. Every time you vape instead of smoking, it's a win. Something else, I put up a banner in the first few days, and I think that it created uneccessary pressure on me, and made me feel like kind of a fraud when I posted. I took it down, and gave it back to myself to mark 2 weeks analog free. Now I can feel proud of it instead of guilty.

Good point - banner gone until I'm more comfortably analog-free. I was cruising along so great, but I guess a habit that was 30 years in the making isn't going to be gone instantly.

Truth!! I was a 40 year smoker.

BTW, If you are worried about your weight, I have actually lost weight vaping. I don't know if it is all of the water I'm drinking, or the fact that I love cinnamon flavors (an appetite supressant), but from reading the forums, I have found that it is not unusual.

I've been vaping since last Feb, and still having one or two cigs a week (or a day on a bad day). A little over a week ago I lit up the last one in the pack I'd bought last month and it tasted like a stale cig soaked in stale beer and left to dry.... it made me sick to my stomach. I haven't bought anymore and haven't had another. I was craving yesterday for a bit, but since I didn't have any on hand I just vaped my head off and got through it. I hope to not buy anymore analogs, but even if I do -- I know I prefer the taste of vapor more. I think that is the greatest things about ecigs is that even if you slip up, you can go right back to vaping. Wishing you success in the New Year!!

I started vaping in August, and had an occasional craving for a "real" cigarette. I thought I had smoked my last analog in September, while we were on vacation. Then in November I was stressed out and bought a pack, smoked all of them, even though they were pretty gross. My husband still smokes, so there's always a pack around, but now I have absolutely no desire to ever light up again. I started smoking when I was 13 and smoked for 36 years, tried everything to quit, and nothing worked. I didn't really have any symptoms of tobacco withdrawal, other than my taste buds being messed up where nothing I vaped tasted like anything, even Atomic Cinnacide. Now that I'm a few months into vaping, I've found flavors that I love, and the right hardware, but it definitely takes time. Once you find a PV that makes you happy, and the juice that satisfies your nicotine craving, you'll be well on your way to not even thinking about analogs.

Well as everyone else has stated, Don't beat you self up. I started vaping in March, then totally abandoned until August this year. Beat myself up real good over it too. Then I thought, Why? It's my choice. I still cannot seem to quit logs completely, have like 1 to 3 a day. But the rest of the day it's vaping. That means I'm not smoking 2 packs a day, like I did for 20 years. That is awesome. And some days it's only 1 or 2. Just got to find the right juice for that wake up log. And something that masks smells. (Cleaning the cat box is a real chore now. LOL) I did not intend to quit, when I started vaping either. Just a natural progression. And when you smell so much better than before, and your sense of smell returns, it seems like those logs are so gross. Makes you not want one. Don't worry, if you want to quit, you will.:vapor:
