Way to go Kathy on day 4. You know what's easier then day 4? Day 5!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one still smoking and vaping. Down to "only" 3 or 4 analogs a day (from about 1.5 packs before vaping.) The odd thing is, I don't really want the analog once I light it. More habit than anything else and I use them as "timers." I'll have a cigarette and then do whatever.....
May I suggest you try something that will take 5-10 minutes and may seem really strange- it worked for me. I've been using EFT on alot of things.
This explains what it is- sorry if this is a repost but this info is new to most and I hopr it helps
what it is-

How to do it-
Your Set up statement might be something like- "Even though I need a few analogs each day, I fully accept myself or Even though my e-cig isn't a real cigarette I love and accept myself- last one was mine
Very Interesting! First time I've heard about this (of course I live in Ohio where some of us backwards corn field people are - ha!) I'll give it a try! Thanks for your post!
how to do it- takes about 10 minutes the first time.

------------- edit --------------
oh yeah I'm now on day 6 zero analogs- good juice and tapping on the problem for 2-3 day 1-2 times each day about 8 days ago- does that make any sense?
You can do it.
I was 21 days quit yesterday cold turkey (pack a day), I wish I knew about these 21 days ago lol.
I smoked 1/2 analog last night and I was really afraid I was going back. No way, it was AWFUL! My chest felt heavy, overall I felt like poo. This morning still felt like poo. No more.
But I do miss the act of smoking and am waiting on a Joye 510 for the wife to quit analogs and try it my selfI think I may be able to just do the 0mgs and if the nicfix is still a problem, I'll just hit some of that.

Looks like you're doing great Kathy. Just wanted to add my 2 cents on something I did when I really wanted that smoke. Of course the first thing I would do was take a few really good puffs off the PV and that helped the most, but then I found something that was a great reinforcer for me personally. I went online to a few of those top-reasons-to-stop-smoking sites and just did some reading.
it might not work for everyone, and it wouldn't have worked for me without the added help of vaping, but reading all the info about how much my health would improve, knowing the money I was going to save, all the info on smokers mouth (gross), there's just so much about smoking that I knew, but really blocked out before. It's helped me along to look into that a little more now.
I'm still very new to this myself and still want one occasionally, but it's already a thousand times better than it was just last week and will probably be a thousand times easier next week. Keep trudgin along day by day and each of those days you'll wake up a little more proud of yourself. That's really the best feeling so far.
Kathy,
Thanks for getting this thread going - best one I've read since joining the forum !
I'm in the same boat, stuck between vaping/smoking. The last couple days I've been back-sliding, but hit the vaping hard today.
I've decided not to beat myself up and just keep grinding. The "junkie voices" in my head freak out when they feel threatened, so here's what I've figured out: I DO NOT have to quit smoking. I only need to stop for today.
If that doesn't work, then it's only for the next five minutes, etc. After that I can re-assess and go back to the old ways if I choose.
This is a take-off on AA's "One Day at a Time" thing, and I think it'll work.
Good luck to all of us !![]()
