.....now that I'm not smoking :D. I started vaping to help cut down on smoking about a month ago, and it'll be 2 weeks tomorrow at 11pm since I had my last analogue. I started out on an E-Smart and since then I've bought:

KITS
-Ego-CC
-Emow

batteries
- 1 Ego-C 650mah pass-through
- 1 Ego-C Twist 650mah

TANKS/CLEAROS
- 3 E-Smart clearos
- 3 Ego-CC clearos
- 1 ProTank 3
- 2 Mini ProTank 3
- 1 Aerotank Mini
- 1 Emow clearo

Assorted
- 1 Joyetech eVic
- a bunch of liquids

I think I might have a Shiny Things addiction.

yep, starts like that for most people, but once you are 'satisfied' with what you have, you start saving unless you actively go out and keep searching for new stuff to 'try' as I do :p , surprisingly I still spend less than I did smoking. Used to spend about 300$ a month on cigarettes. My monthly average budget for vaping is maybe around 100$, but sometimes i go months without buying anything and just buy a new 200$ mod or something every few months.

that aerotank mini though is a good choice :toast:, vaped on that on a ego style twist battery for a good year+ before I started spending money again on vape gear.

haha, it is funny

in the 'previous' life, we had what ?

box-o-Marlboro , and a BIC...

shineyitis consisted of maybe spending $30 on a Zippo

- - -

so to compare apples to apples

•1 BIC lighter = 650mah EGO

•1 pak Marlboro = 15ml of 18mg Red tobacco

yepper, we all turn e-cig vaping into a hobby, then complain of the lack of saving

aint vaping great ! :)

Newbie tax can be an expensive investment, but in reality, how much does chemotherapy cost? How much does a ventillator cost?

Now, every serious vaper encounters the challenge of finding the device, topper and liquid(s) that fit their lifestyle and preferences. Once that is overcome, you can vape for as little as $0.10/day. Ask me how I know. ;)

I'm actually not a big fan of the Aerotank Mini, that's why I ended up buying the Mini Protank 3s. It didn't work very easily with my eVic. If I wanted to get at the airflow control I would have to take the top ring off of my eVic.

I jumped in with both feet and spent around $1800 before I was done. Since then, about 4 months into vaping, I've only bought juice and maybe 2 newer tanks and coil heads for them. Total about $2000.

I have given away about $200+ in juices that I didn't care for and about $200 to $300 in tanks and batteries.

I have saved just under $1600 from not buying cigarettes and that keeps going up everyday.

So I am still slightly in the hole, money wise, but I Have Not Smoked a cigarette in 9 months. That is worth much more than whatever it cost me in dollars.

If you do want to save money and be completely satisfied with your setup I can recommend getting a iStick 30w (maybe the 50w when it's avilable if the reviews are as positive as the 30w's) and a couple of lemo drops. Get a big spool or two of 28/26 gaguge kanthal and a bag of organic japanese cotton. You'll only be spending on juice and cotton from that point on. Massive savings if you ask me.

I started 63 days ago, and I bought kits for myself, and two adult step-kids. I've probably spent $400 in that time, and I'll probably spend at least another $35 in the next 4 weeks... and some juice... however, we would have spent very close to that much in analogs, and have nothing to show besides a bunch of stinking butts, empty lighters, and smoky clothes. As it is, I've got enough cartos, clearos, glassos, cheerios, batteries, and coils to last a while.

Even ignoring the health savings, I'm better off...

I'm pretty happy with the setups I have now. The hardest part the liquids, the only place near me only has a limited selection. I want to find a few more that I like so that I don't get sick of the ones I vape the most right now and I don't want to waste money ordering them online only to find out that I don't like them.

I hear ya! The nearest B&M, for me, is 45 miles away, understocked, overpriced, and not long for this Earth (IMO). The OTC convenience store juices are not very good (one kinda tastes like a cross between a crayon and pre-school paste glue - label says vanilla), or are very limited on choice (5 flavors, 1 nic strength, no pg/vg ratios available).

That said, I have been playing around with sample packs from various online shops. You might not like what you get, but the price is decent. I also watch sales like a hawk. Sooner or later, I'll find one or three flavors I really like and stop shopping around...

Lol at OP for posting almost my exact situation. I however am at the point already ( two to three weeks in ) (too much money spent already with gear still arriving from fast tech [slowtech] soon) where I have found my sweet spot with my mech mod and my (OMG I cant believe I bought one) IPV3 where I'm actually content and the shiny-itis can calm down. And like someone else said I can now just relax and calmly search for Juice companies standards and favorites.
Sadly I will have to pop for a new set of paired batteries soon however as regulated mods should have a paired set sadface -- try explaining that to your wife hahah

I envy my local vape shop owner, at least for now. He says he starts 5-10 newbies a day and 75% become non smokers an a lot of them come back and spend their cigarette money in his shop. A carton a week in Michigan is $3000 a year. When I stop in there it's always crowded with beginners and regulars. I'm cheap, haven't spent a fraction of the $3,000, $500 may be, plus a starter rig for my brother at Christmas.
