Ok so please be patient with me as I am a noob. This is my first time on any kind of forum yes it took me two days to figure out how to join and post this message. So I ordered my first ecig starter kit and it should be here today or tomorrow. I decided to go with the colibri nano and am currently second guessing my decision. Does anyone know what model number this is if I can buy the cartridges from anyone for cheap. If not from what I have read most people have more then one device so i will make a more informed decision next time.
Thanks all for having me I am hoping to be here for the long hall so the longer I vape the better I will get at the forums aswell

It seems that the Calibri is completely proprietary. Meaning you won't be able to use anything other than the components that are provided by the supplier you purchased the Calibri from. If I were you I would just send the Calibri back and get yourself an eGo or 510 of some kind. They are completely universal and there are loads of products you can use with them. The cartomizers are small and incredibly expensive.

Honestly, I don't want to be a joy kill, but through five minutes of research it seems the Calibri is just not a good device. Go out, buy a 510 kit, whether it's an eGo or a straight 510, a couple bottles of juice, and go from there.

I can't find any easy info on the threading of this device. It LOOKS like an 808 thread, which means you SHOULD be able to buy better/larger 808 cartos for it, but without knowing the specific threading I can't say. Buying empty cartomizers (even their branded ones) and filling with your own liquid is always gong to be more cost effective. I will say from personal experience using smaller cig-a-likes, the battery life between charges may not be sufficient. It comes with a PCC charging case, those are pretty much essential for these smaller devices, start the day with the case fully charged and you should be okay long enough to get to a USB/Wall socket to recharge it if required.

All that out of the way, there's absolutely nothing inherently wrong with smaller ecigs. Many people, myself included, started on them and managed to not smoke while using them. Every device has pros and cons. As long as it's meeting your needs there's no "need" to go buying another kit right away. Some of us end up doing it because we wanted more from our vape (I ended up upgrading after finding ECF and discovering that there was so many other devices to choose from, I had no idea). Some of us get obsessed with trying all sorts of liquid deliveries/battery combinations. It's a personal thing that only you can decide for yourself. If you decide to get another kit, you'll probably want a 510 threaded device. The amount of options after you have the first batteries are astounding.

So, in summary, I see nothing wrong with this PV. If it works for you then that's all that matters. If it isn't working don't toss all ecigs out the window, there's definitely more viable options out there that will most likely satisfy your needs.

Oh, and welcome to ECF! There's a lot of knowledgeable people here, and it's a huge resource of information. Pretty much any question you have can/will be answered.

Welcome mommy and Congrats on making the decision to switch to vaping :) !

I'm not familiar with that particular model, but I know things vary somewhat in Canada vs. the States. You may very well find that you want something different and that's fine. I lasted one month w/my initial set up before going with something bigger. I was a heavy smoker and just needed a bit more umph.

You are experiencing the all-too-common buyer's remorse while waiting for that first hardware to arrive.

As recidivus above said, First see if the colibri nano works for you. If not come back here and ask all sorts of questions before your next purchase. I look at my purchase from the perspective of how many packs of cigs it will cost me and what I would have smoked. I'm content with the equipment I have now and extra money in pocket from not buying cigs. Welcome to ecf.

So Calif
Welcome to ECF and congrats on your start. I can't comment on your first choice as I stared on Ego and went up from there after a year to big battery PV's.

Just take it slow and see how it works for you. You can always get something bigger later on.

DO NOT run out of juice or whatever they have that holds it. With a mini probably cartridges. It's the worst thing a new vaper can do to themselves. Keep your batteries charged and your cartridges full and enjoy yourself ;)
