Welcome, supercutie, and good luck to you!
I think you get the jist of where to go here. The 510 (cignot.com good choice as well, and their juices!) is sort of getting a reputation around here as a work-horse, a good way to begin: there is a learning curve to all this, not as simple as lighting up a cigarette, so that choice fits! Serious smokers do need a little stronger 24mg/ml juice, but it's very easily adaptable if that's too much.
Then later on a good "modified" e-cig to save on battery money and you have plenty of time to look those over, there's a ton of good ones, I use a Janty Stick, but those a little quirky for beginners.
Simpler is better, so 510's. I started with NJoy also, but didn't really work well until I went to 24mg juice, and started re-filling carts, that's much cheaper also. Don't rely of a huge bunch of pre-filled cartridges, too expensive MHO. Now I use 6 or 12mg/ml juice, way less than before, and am very comfortably happy!
I smoked like a chimney, was scared to death, but was worth it!! Best of LUCK.

Generally I don't recommend things to new users until I learn what they are looking for.
But I just realized I am very comfortable in recommending ALL new users get a 510 to start with.

There is no reason in the world not to get a 510 to start out with.

If you wind up feeling that cartridges are a pain, the 510 now has cartomizers.
If you wind up needing longer battery life, the 510 has megbatteries and PCCs.
If you wind up needing bigger cartridges, the 510 has megacartridges.
If you wind up wanting a high voltage experience, they now have low resistance atomizers.
If you wind up wanting a gentler experience, they have 510 atomizers with higher resistance.

If you wind up wanting to move to a bigger battery, you can just buy the eGo/Tornado battery.
If you wind up wanting even bigger batteries, then you can finally get a mod.
:)

Oh, yeah, and please go sign the petition linked in my signature.

The powers that be are trying to take electronic cigarettes away from us.
This is happening right now as we speak.

There is lots more information about this in the Campaigning subforum.
But suffice to say, we need to stand up and be counted.
