This should be in a warning booklet with the Precise. "Warning: Take care not to drop your precise from heights above 4 feet. In doing so you risk damage to the weaker, and less well manufactured surfaces, that you will be hitting with your Precise."
That is hilarious

So I dropped my P+18500 on the bathroom floor tonight. Not a mark on my PRECISE+, can't say the same for the tile it fell on though. It has a nice crack running through it now.

Precise Plus 1, Travertine tile 0

Poor tile. At least you can still vape the Precise while you replace the tile!

I just dropped mine in the toilet bowl at work - fortunately it was clean and neither the toilet nor the Precise sustained any damaged. I'm so fortunate that the Precise is all mechanical, took everything apart, rinsed in warm water, dried it off, cleaned it with alcohol swabs I keep in my drawer, slapped on a spare atomizer and I was back in business!

The guy in the stall next to you must have wondered what you had for lunch!!! Atleast you replaced the atty. LOL

I did the same but wasn't so lucky about the clean bowl so my precise needed to endure a serious cleaning and a 24 hour everclear bath. After tossing the tip and atty for obvious reasons the P+ worked like a champ. Makes me feel secure in case of bar fights too.

Lol, I'm giggling while reading this thread. I (so far) have been lucky enough to not have dropped my P+ in the toilet, but I have dropped it at least 5 times, once on my foot (OUCH!) and it still looks fabulous! I also often keep it in my messy purse or pocket, and all I have is a very minor little blemish on the body. A quick 2 seconds in the sandblaster will freshen it right up! :)

This morning I'm cleaning up my 18650, 18500, and 18350, getting ready to send them in to Super-T today for a freshen-up. Nervous! I'll have to (well, "have to" isn't the right phrase, "get to" is more like it) get to survive with just my 16340 and 10440 for however long. So I'm out in the garage getting some paper towels for my little cleaning project, bent over and my 16340 fell out of my pocket - AAAGH. It got its first ding (and broke my Pyrex 306 tip).

I don't think I'll be foolhardy enough to try and survive with just the 10440!

I need to send in some of mine to get freshened up too, but like you said, it's hard to decide which to keep around. I rotate through mine randomly based on my mood.

I also had the same misfortune and broke a new i06 atty and Pyrex drip tip. Since then whenever I have an i06 on my Precises I use an ID lanyard with a #18 o-ring to hold it and just hang it around my neck.

Of course, every time I have mine in its lanyard nothing ever happens.
That is a given! :p It's just that one time you forget.....

They're on their way now, I hope they don't break anything at USPS; they can't afford new tiles or toilets.

Rule of thumb, lol, if you put "fragile" on the package USPS/UPS will think...
A). "Fragile" ain't that Italian for expensive? Wonder whats in here?
or
B). We can use this at lunch for our pickup game of soccer/football.

Having shipped my share of turntables I have learned to way over pack and that it is better to not write anything on the package at all. It seems that fragile is code for "bet you can't break me". The lady at the UPS Store, who knows me because I'm in there a lot, told me to stop wasting my money by putting fragile stickers all over my packages, they don't make a difference. 8-o

I had tears in my eyes from laughing after reading this! I hope it was just pee and you didn't have to swish anything outta the way to get to your P+. LMAO

I thought the same thing the first time I held my P+18500. It would work better than having a roll of pennies in your pocket.

I used to have upstairs neighbors who occasionally got packages during the day, the Fed-Ex guy regularly tossed them from the ground up and over the railing onto the landing outside their door rather than climb the stairs. If they do this when people can see them, what do they do when they are handling them at their facility.

Having worked as a baggage handler at an international airport, i can attest to this. spent a few months working overnight UPS/DHL/Emery Cargo... Doesn't matter if it has fragile/express/priority shipping labels on them, they all get put tossed in with the rest of the packages like soccer balls, and if the guys are sitting around waiting for more packages, we neatly arrange the boxes to resemble chairs and sit on them.

my suggestions;
-Over-package everything (even if it means paying an extra dollar or two for the bigger box.)
- and make the package as inconspicuous as possible (not every area has cameras, and there are many people with sticky fingers... i have seen groups of people get fired all at once)

my Precise looks just as good as the day i bought it... cant say the same for my toes.:glare:
