I had to....basically because i didnt feel like paying 15 dollars in shipping just for the nicotine itself. I had to hit the 65$ mark to qualify for free shipping. This is my first DIY order btw. I dont even know what to do with this many flavors. Did i make a bad decision?

Also, since these are all 8ml bottles of flavors. How much / how long will a 8ml bottle of flavor last? I also have about 500 ml each of VG / PG ready for me to start DIYing.

WOW! That is a bunch for someone new to DIY. Be sure you follow the directions on the menthol crystals.

Also, pick just one flavor or a simple recipe to start and put the rest of it away for awhile. Getting one juice just right as opposed to jumping in with both feet and potentially having wasted your stock is the best course. I know this is common advice around here, but that makes it no less true.

Welcome to the wide, wonderful (and crazy) world of DIY!!

yep i have syringes ready and empty bottles. I think the last thing i need is probably a mask of some sort or protection. Im really scared of the 100mg nic solution as ive never handled it before. I do have gloves and eye protection glasses. Is buying a hazmat suit a bit too overboard lol? If i spill it on my clothes ... am i going to....die? Or maybe just wear a few layers of clothing?

Sleeve protectors, gloves, a dishwasher's apron and a plastic face shield and you should be good to go for protection. It isn't really a big deal, just play it safe and don't lick the spoon.

Nice start for flavor. I haven't tried the earl grey or the lemongrass yet but the only flavour on your list that I absolutely hate is the cantaloupe. It just tasted too much like cantaloupe :p

How can cantaloupe taste too much like cantaloupe???? Isn't that the point? LOL

What to do with them: make small single-flavor sample bottles. You can either investigate the common percentage preferences for each flavor or just start with about 10% or 15% flavoring. When you find the % that's right for you, write it on the bottle or in a note somewhere for next time. To combine flavors, use those single-flavoring bottles and combine them in your tank/carto/whatever you use. When you hit on combinations you like, take notes so you can make a larger bottle of the combination. That's what I do, anyway. Oh, and I'd mix a smaller bottle of diluted base to work with (that 100mg plus PG and/or VG to make the percentage you want). With that many flavors to sample, I wouldn't do it in each little bottle, one at a time. It would be more efficient to make your 25mg 50/50 PG/VG (or whatever you want) first, and plenty of it.

If you use 10% flavoring, each 8ml bottle of flavoring can make 80ml of juice. At 15% flavoring it's 53ml of juice. They'll last a long time, but you'll probably decide you want even more flavors. I always do ;-)

I don't think it's too much at all...says the flavor-crazy maniac with well over 200. :)

Great advice right there. Start simple this way satisfaction will be very high and fustration will be very low.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

Hazmat tent in place, poison control on speed dial, quarntine plan in place and a town evacuation plan at the ready.

I'm just kidding. Being overly cautious is OK but the best advice I can give is to kick in the old common sense.

It is a lot of stuff but I cant say you over did it cause that looks like the orders I place sometimes too ha. Just think of it as what you would have spent on a few cartons of cigs anyway that's what I tell myself and my guy when he see's the bank statements :). You ordered good flavors you should be able to make a lot of great combo's with those plus DIY is a lot of fun too. While your waiting for your order check out the recipe section so you can have a plan of what you want to make, there's awesome recipes in there. There's also a recipe database called E-Liquid Recipes where you can type in the flavor you want to use and it brings up recipes that contain that flavoring. Its a nice tool to have along with using an ejuice calculator. Have fun and be safe! :toast:
