You must have lot of VERY wealthy but legally stupid drug users in Scranton, if it is the "norm" for people who use drugs to vape them in public. I mean, if that is what the normal mode of use is up there, there must be an entirely different level of stupid but rich drug users in Scranton. Pax Plumes and Atmos and Trippy Stix vaporizers cost about 5-10 times what an eGo and Vivi Nova do.

Just sayin....

If you feel weird, then it's something either you need to just get over, or you need to not vape in public--that simple. Either you will continue to let what you imagine other people think rule your life, or you will take control of your own emotions and insecurities, put on your big girl panties, and deal with it.

Until people "normalize" vping--and that can ONLY happen with LOTS of people vaping in public--it will attract attention.

Nobody has ever been arrested for vaping. vaping is legal. Don't worry. You didn't worry about how stupid, inconsiderate, and self-destructive people thought you were when you were smoking cigarettes. Why should you care about what they think now?

Sorry if this sounds mean, but I'm getting a little tired of people using this as an excuse to not vape in public.

First of all, I've seen people doing drugs in public. maybe not vaping them but how is the average person going to be able to tell a MJ pipe from a vaporizer.
Secondly, I've heard of people being pulled over by the cops for vaping while driving.
Finally, in most areas vaping is a legal gray area. Many cities have prohibited it. Here, it's not illegal to vape in stores/restaurants but that doesn't mean you won't get kicked out. Outdoors, I don't have a problem. I'm used to smoking outdoors.

Frankly if you didn't feel the slightest bit odd when you first vaped in public that's fantastic.
I do.
It kind of looks ridiculous to people that aren't used to it.

When my new piece of machinery comes Thursday the first thing I'm doing is going for a vape drive :)

Just tonight one of the "bad" vapers tried to chat me up at the bus stop. He wanted to compare and sample each others "vape pens".
I felt like a dumbass, and had to tell em " I don't do drugs, bud."

pretty sure i had ego right next to my reo suggestion. just saying.
the reo is a bottom fed box and you dont have to conceal it in your fist, I dont.
It just conforms to your fist so nicely. I like the look of box mods a lot.
I think they feel a lot more natural than big cylindrical mods.
But idk, I guess by natural I mean.. for vaping. Which is such an unnatural thing in the 1st place.
I wouldn't feel comfortable smoking tobacco from a box in my smoking days...
but now that I own giant cylindrical mods, my box mod feels more natural. if that makes sense. lol.

heres a link cherry: http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=9&Itemid=3
They use the tiny 14500 batteries. Tiny little batteries = Tiny little bottom feeder mod. The Reo Mini :D
Awesome mods. The price is up there but reos are made in the US and the maker is here on the forums.
Since I've bought it, whenever I have a question he has given me help. Told me I can send it in any time for a check up.
Its a mechanical mod, so there isnt much to break. It uses a tiny little atomizer that u squeeze juice into.
The juice is inside the body of the mod so, you can go out and know you'll have enough juice.
The mini is about 3 quarters the height of a pack of cigs. Pocket a spare atty & spare bat and your good.
Plus now there are rebuildable bottom feeding atomizers for them. Which is really cool.
With a rebuildable atty on top of a Reo Mini? I think its probably 1 of the shortest SS wick mechanicals there is.

Why care what other's perceptions are? If I did care, I would rather not be seen with a cig-look-alike and have others think I still smoke since I feel good about the fact that I don't. I also like the added benefit that non cig looking PV's can occassionally spark a conversation and provide an opportunity to help someone else break free from smoking.

You aren't dumb.. The dumbasses are those who still smoke analogues. Vaping is hella cool! I'm quite young, still in college and vape all day on campus. Sure I get strange looks sometimes, but who cares? Really. If someone thinks you're crazy, either way you're never going to see them again. If someone asks you what it is, just briefly explain it to them. I break mine out during parties, and all the smokers seem so intrigued when I tell them that im 'smoking' strawberry cupcakes. Last time I handed it to a smoker he kept on repeating 'this is effing delicious... THIS IS EFFING DELICIOUS.'

Im a really shy guy.. I avoid confrontation and people when i can. However, vaping in public really doesnt bother me at all. Get a shorty ego If you're really self conscious about it.

I get some of the looks, and once was asked if I was smoking crack in that thing. I just calmly explain that it is a very fancy e-cig and that suffices because around here they have at least heard that phrase. There was a big todo here in the media last year about revising our smoking ban and among a few other changes City Council voted 9-0 to remove e-cigs from the ordinance. (Yea)

I have become somewhat of a vaping preacher to the other smokers because I still enjoy the social aspect of going outside with the same people I did before and have even got 2 interested enough to check out this forum. My curiosity was initially raised by another vaper at an outside gathering. With both of us vaping now in public another vaper has came out of the closet so there are 3 of us. Hopefully there will be 4 then 5 etc. and 1 less smoker for each convert.

I am proud of what vaping has helped me accomplish. I am stoked enough about this being the first thing to get me off cigarettes and still feel good that my goal is to let everyone know. I preach about it and give my testimony whenever I can. I couldn't do that vaping in seclusion.
