First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Stephen and have a daughter named Eden... Thus, EdensDaddy. Anyway, I have been researching, and learning, and researching, and learning for about 2 weeks now. I ordered a joye510 from RD and am highly anticipating it's arrival. The order was placed on the 17th of July and reached customs in San Francisco at 1623 the 21st. Now the nail biting begins. I am currently smoking analogs but strangely in the last few days they have tasted like utter crap. I have not enjoyed the taste for as long as I can remember. I am 33 and started smoking at the tender but not so innocent age of 14. I do not currently have any health problems but my family has a history of various types of cancer. Skin, lung, bone comes to mind. I placed a rather large order consisting of my starter kit, an extra battery, 3 extra atomizers, a 30 ml bottle of R4, and 50 extra blank carts. My order was basically mirrored by my brother who went with the 901 and one of my best friends who also went with the 501. I am so excited that I also ordered every available flavor extract of LorAnnes and 2 bottles of flavorless e-juice (one 36mg and one 0mg) along with 10 5mg dropper bottles from TW. I feel pretty well prepared. I have yet to purchase VG and, call me crazy, some type of LOCKABLE organizer for my little chemistry experiments. I convinced my RN mother to supply me with the syringes for my new hobby. I am a safety coordinator at work (in part) so I understand the precautions necessary. I can actually read MSDS sheets =)

I really just wanted to say hello to everyone here in this community and say thank you for all of the helpful reviews and instruction you provided. I expect that someday very soon I will be able to contribute as well to others as you all have for me.

Sincerely,
EdensDaddy

Indeed. I am a pack and a half a day smoker of Marlboro lights. My plan at first is to have 1.5 ml 36mg, 1.5 ml of the 0 nic, 1.0 ml of the VG, saving the last ml of a 5ml dropper bottle for flavorings. I know this will take some trial and error. As soon as I start recieving these shipments I want to start stocking up on juice and atomizers. Cool and dark place. Has anyone considered an ammo can stored inside a cooler? This storage seems like it would give the juice an airtight environment and the cooler should help keep the temperature constant. I live in a very warm climate here in Dallas, Texas.

Welcome to the world of vaping! You've done pretty well in your choices. I think 50 blank cartridges is probably a lifetime supply,,, lol.

I would recommend that you get your chops down on your device before doing too much liquid mixing. I'm sure you'll figure that stuff out over time, but keep it simple to start. The 901 and 510 are both good starter kits. RY4 is a tasty flavor.

If you haven't watched Spikey's video, be sure to check that out.

Best of luck to you! I remember feeling just the way you do now, back in April. I'm a happy vaper, now!!

Welcome and good choice getting a manual switch PV like the 510. I also use to smoke Marlboro Lights. I found that KENT flavored liquid from Ruyan Direct is one of the closes to your brand.

Good Luck

Thank you for the Suggestion for the PCC. One of the things I am looking forward to the most is all the extra pocket space I will have. No more cigarette packs and lighters litering my pockets... A PCC is on the list for my next order along with a passthrough. I am wark about leaving it in my car in texas heat. Does anyone know anything about wether or not that can or will damage any components?

It's a great idea to have vaping buddies! You guys can compare devices and share liquid..yeah right!
Glad to see you did your homework first. That will save money in the long run. So many people don't find us until after they ordered. You have found a great home away from home!
Please let us know how you are getting on with your 510!
Welcome to ECF!

I was introduced to these devices by my folks who unfortunately did no research what-so-ever. They purchased from a company called e smoke stop or something similar. I am not sure what style they are but they are the same size as a regular cigarette. A few of their friends had introduced them to the same company and they simply bought. I am not impressed with these devices. They produce little vapor and it's like drinking a frosty through a straw to get anything going. Not to mention they paid 115 US dollars for 1 kit. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. =)

I think a great rule of thumb, which I tell all people I see who show some interest in these devices, is don't buy ANYTHING that you see advertised anywhere.

The mass market products with slick marketing are not as good as they should be.

They do a great service, by getting people into the whole idea though.
And for that you have to give them credit.

But if you don't stumble across a place like this, it may be a disservice as well.
If you wind up thinking these things suck, then you've been turned off when it need not be that way.

Because these things don't have to suck.

But you do have to suck... at least a little. No matter what brand you use. I agree with you on the complete turn off of a non-effective device. But, at the same token, They kept my interest. More so due to the fact that I positively hate my smoking habit. Out of all my regrets... if I could take one back, smoking would be it... hands down. I cannot take too much credit for all the research I did before my purchase. In honesty's truth I admit that I simply could not afford to make a purchase at introduction. So like a child waiting for Christmas (payday) I waited and filled my spare time reading and deciding on a model etc. I am so glad I found this forum. It has proven to be a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to read and discover. I have watched Spikeys Comprehensive video. Very well planned out and executed.

I'm not in Texas now but am from Dallas and I know what you mean about the Texas heat. I think that's a good question. I don't know if the heat will harm the PV or not. 8-o I do know that Vapor Station where I've purchased my 510 and my favorite e-juice is in Lewisville and Eric is great about answering my questions. I'm sure he can tell you exactly what the heat can do to a PV left in the car. Just check out his suppliers forum and drop him a quick line.

Welcome!
