Hoo boy, does THIS thread ever hit a nerve! I'm in love with flavors like I'm in love with colors, it's nuts!

At least if I could find a company that I can maybe-sorta settle on, I might be able to limit myself to the flavors they have. It is definitely bad to order a selection that sounds good and isn't. Is why I refer to this forum for feedback before I pick a company to roll the pocketbook on.

I have ordered about my first 25 flavors from MBV, and I am still trying to get the hang of this "steeping" thing -- I had to look up what that is, even. Definitely true that some MBV flavors need some time to develop.

For beginners like me, it's really difficult to let juices sit for a long period of time before trying them, because I don't have enough backstock yet. But I really do like to adjust the PG-VG ratio, and not every company does that. Still working on locating all US made companies that offer choices in PG-VG mix.

What is AiV?

AiV is Alice in Vapeland, yet another fine juice maker.

Steeping is easy if you do like the OP and buy so many you don't have time to vape them. Just let them sit for a couple weeks (that's the hard part)

I went a little crazy on vape juice and gear too. I think I spent almost $400 over the thanksgiving weekend and Cyber Monday. About 40 bottles of juice (many are sample sized, but still), plus a new iTaste VV, some tanks and cartos, plus the Fogger V2 RBA. A lot of great sales, too good to pass up. I guess Christmas came early this year for me.

The thing about vaping I've noticed is you can save money, but if you enjoy it as much as some of us, it takes on the form of a hobby rather than just a vice.

I created a spreadsheet to track my spending compared to the cost of vaping. Check it out on my site (REMOVED LINK TO SITE). Based on how what I've spent already, it would take me about 3 months of not spending at all to break even, which I totally have enough supplies to do. Not sure that I will, though, and that's okay with me.

Very nice spread sheet, thank you for sharing. After 84 days non-smoking I am about 50 bucks ahead. I also buy lots of varieties of juices, but no mods so far!

I went a little nuts right off the bat, managed to cut back to one juice order per week from a different vendor, and I recently signed up with ZampleBox and haven't ordered juice in a few weeks.

I think I'll still be ordering juice from time to time, and obviously will be re-ordering the ones I really like, but the craze has passed.

Now if I could just stop ordering everything else, I'll be in good shape, lol!

I am just like you, when I started vaping all I wanted was a juice that tasted similar to an analogue ciggy, then after two weeks I got bored and started to mix the tobacco with fruit, Mango, Lemon, Fruit Mix, then I went on to mix Vanilla and then Coffee. Now I cannot keep track of where I am. I have one tank with a tobacco mix and another tank with Hangsens Red Energy. This is fantastic, I swap between the two tanks all day. No doubt the Chocolate and Toffee flavours that have just arrived will be added into my daily mix any time soon.
Just go with it and enjoy what ever floats your boat that day.

I'll be honest some of them really do blow. My last order was however quite good. I got a 50ml of peanut butter cup and root beer. The root beer is surprisingly quite delicious. The peanut butter cup was also pretty good. But for 12$ i'd deff keep a 50ml of their root beer around. [By the way ALWAYS get the 5 extra flavor shots.]

Im with ya there abt the flavor shots! I got some Tx sweet tea and was so disappointed. but most everything else has been pretty good for me with MBV. Love your avatar. You guys look so cute!

I am lovin' this thread! Was starting to feel like some kind of ejuice junkie before I read this thread. Seems like I'm ordering juice from 3 diff. companies abt every week and a half. Why it has to be 3 idk, ocd maybe? lol I have over 175 online juice vendors on my computer speeddial! See? I'm a basket case...yaaay! :vapor:

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with more than one tank going at the same time. I've been known to have as many as 4 tanks filled with something different on any given day! Now I'm down to two, but I'm waiting for some vapemail to come (Monday I hope!) so who knows what next week will be like!

I picked up on "enhancing" my favourite flavours quite early.

It started when I picked up a £2 bag of menthol crystals which was about 2oz of crystals and they are so strong that you can use only a small crystal per 30ml or you have to cut the juice with some normal tobacco or something as its take your head off time mentholwise.

On eBay I found a vendor selling for a couple quid dram bottles of pure spearmint oil, this isn't the wishy washy stuff you stick in your cakes but I ruined a 30ml batch of normal oil nearly by adding 4 drops and it needs to mix and steep for a couple days too as its potent stuff, I added a bit of mint to the mix to sweeten it up and its the most delicious spearmint yet for me.

I got bored with my Mandarin 36mg so I had a bottle of Key Lime 36mg, mixed it together added a touch of sour apple to it and its a very nice oranges and lemons oil that also smells really nice and steams up a treat too. I added a hint of vanilla juice and some raspberry juice I had lurking in the drawer and I had a nice bottle of Rhubarb and Custard that my daughters pinched and went through it in a week hehe.

My daughters call me a natural alchemist as they watch me with my little pipettes and needle bottles, dropping in with tweezers the menthol crystal and measuring out from odd little bottles hints of cooking flavours and oils AND it makes your juice go further as you can use up the stuff you don't like by experimenting :)

Thanks for the spreadsheet - I can't wait to get all of my info entered in (or can I?)

You're welcome. I know what you mean, I'm still in the hole quite a bit myself, but I'm okay with that, having too much fun. Let me know if you have any ideas on things I can add to make it more useful. I'm considering building a version on Google docs for users who may not have a license for Microsoft Excel.

I order the 236mL bottles from MBV and small bottles from various other to try different mixes. Some like ectocooler with a little vanilla is similar to creamsicle and coumerin pipe is great with a lot of different flavors.

you haven't checked there I take it

The more posts on this thread, the happier I am. It feels great to be in good company with a vice that we can sort of rejoice in, even as we admit our excess. (Well, kind of. I'm guilty of spending more money than I can comfortably afford and that is a whole separate badness -- BUT but but (she says guiltily), I was also spending more on regular cigarettes than I could afford...)

I am one of those people that when getting "into" a thing (and I agree, "hobby" doesn't quite describe vaping, but can't think of a better word), absolutely goes whole hog. I tend to buy ALL the gear before I even really know what I personally am doing. I'm sort of doing that with vaping, except that I read up here and everywhere else I can find first. Which has saved me from some booboos I probably would have otherwise made. There was a time that I had a much higher income and could afford some reckless abandon, but nooooo more!

But yep, I'm playing with vendors, have gotten 10 at least flavors from about 4 of them so far, and as I said up-thread, I'm still so new that nothing has had a lot of time to steep yet -- but after approaching a month or so, there are at least 5 15-ml bottles I can count on to taste as intended, so the others will come along and I'm not stranded on a vapeless island :)

I originally had (hehe for the 1st 3 wks of vaping) 2 devices (one EVOD and one local manufactured top-filler, EGO knockoff, I now recognize but didn't know from Adam when I bought it). And on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, I ordered a bunch more juice, and not one but THREE more mods. And a bunch of spare tanks so that I can rotate my flavors. (I definitely need to do that - I get so enraptured with a flavor that I do reach vaper's taste fatigue and must change it up.) ("MUST" - "can't stop VAPING for God's sake!" --- LOL)

Did I mention I was a 43+-yr 2-3PAD cigarette smoker before I discovered vaping as THE way for me to get off the smoking habit. Don't think I could have done it without vaping and the sheer fun of trying and enjoying flavors -- not even close.
