My clearo has been vaping kind of erratically, sometimes really nice, sometimes practically nothing. I've been thinking I need to clean it for probably a week, but it's been so gradual I hadn't really felt an urgent need to clean or replace it. Today, I finally realized I was having to give it two or three long drags to get any satisfaction at all, so I cleaned it and decided to put on a brand new iclear 16 that I picked up a week or so ago. HOLY SMOKE! It must have been weeks since I've had this kind of vapor.

I've been alternating a couple of Oakley clearos for nearly two months and cleaning them/dry burning them every week or so with good results. I always figured when they were worn out the would just quit altogether, but do they just get weaker and weaker instead?

I had a similar experience tonight. Last night, everything tasted like nothing, so I gathered a bunch of clearos together and cleaned them up and set them aside to let the wicked ones dry. Tonight, I checked my wicks...perfecly dry. Loaded up, waited the obligatory "few moments" for them to soak up the juice (oh who am I kidding...after 10 seconds I was vaping away!), and WOW! I actually thought to myself: "Oh, I love a clean clearo!" :) I have to admit...my EVOD and the one wickless clearo I have are spoiling me....I am realllllyyy wanting to go to all EVODs! Well, ok, maybe just ONE (or two....) Pro Tanks!

Yeah, just weaker and weaker. I have never had one just stop altogether. And if it does, you have pushed it way too far. :D

I do the same thing BTW. I know it needs to be cleaned, but when it is empty I am busy so I think I will just fill it one more time. That may happen 5 or 6 times before I actually clean it. Laziness can be a problem at times.

After I posted this last night I went in and cleaned the offending clearo, and gave it a dry burn. It took three or four little bursts with the battery to get it glowing nicely, lots of nasty smoke. The I decided to give it one more quick blast and POOF, I blew the coil. So...problem solved.

I'm sorry about your loss, but that's funny. I just did the same thing last night. Lmao!:)

Whew! I had visions of the thing popping in my face as I glare down looking to see the coils. Thanks everyone, I feel better about it now. Still feel bad for ElConquistador and DannyBoy5691 though! I could so see myself doing this. In fact after reading the descriptions, I think I did it, and didn't know it. Fortunately, had a replacement head, so I swapped it out and it's working! :)

Thanks, but it wasn't the first and I'm sure it won't be the last. :) Lmao!

Yeah, pretty anti-climactic when it "blew". I had it all nicely dry burned and it was glowing nice and red, then another one-second blast it it went black, no explosions, no fire shooting out, no mad-scientist electrical noises, just....nothing. When I looked at it closely, I could see the coil had separated in the middle. No biggie, I had a few new coils.
