I'm tired of being a pioneer with these things. I'm going back to cigarettes. I have bought since january:

1 e-cig from e-cig, dead after 3 weeks
1 e-cig from deal extreme. Never worked properly, very little vapor, one doa battery
1 manual cigar from dealextreme. The best while it lasted, about 1 month 1/2
1 cigar from e-cig, lasted about a month
1 njoy, one battery replaced and 3 atomizers. Still works, but nothing like Meltrex's from the videos I have seen. (which I can't buy being in Canada)
1 kissbox classic, never lived up to expectations, less vapor than the njoy. One battery dead after 2 weeks.

I emailed Janty, they will give me my money back, so good service. Njoy also gave me excellent service.

But I WON'T be spending anymore money on these cheap gagdgets until I read here that they have finally made a product that works well, consitently and LASTS. No more dripping, fiddling with batteries etc...

Gimme a lighter and a cigarette, the stress and frustration was going to give me cancer anyways.

I've got enough Bickford's now to make cakes and candy for years, good thing I like to cook.

Maybe I have just been unlucky. But Geez, 6 units and none up to par. Watching Rat's videos, I think I might have been. I just don't want to spend more money until I am sure that the product will live up to expectations.

I will keep reading here. I really wanted the kissbox to be THE e-cig.

I agree. I do understand how frustrating this can be. However, I can no longer stand the taste of a real cig. So for now, I will continue my search for the "perfect" e-cig.

Don't bother, I've been smoking for 25 years. I figure the way technology goes by leaps and bounds, by next year they should have come up with a breakthrough. One more year of smoking, what the heck. I would try Mel's, but I WON'T spend more money.

Oh boy, do I understand your frustrations. About all I can is that I empathize and would advise you to immediately try any alternative to avoid going back to cigarettes. You've read about snus, etc., in the alternatives section. If you want to PM me at some point, I'll try my best to step you through buying some snus or Stonewall that won't turn your taste buds off, but will keep you from smoking.

A really sad thing is: Your story is probably not atypical. I really thought of chucking all this until someone, somewhere, finally perfects this throwaway toy that we pay so dearly for. I live day by day, marking a calendar of smokefree days like a caged prisoner waiting for The Perfect E-Cig.

Guess you looked at youtube. Did that video a while back, I like to think I'm actually better than that. I did that in one take just to see if I could upload it to youtube. I should redo it, just have not had time. I'm not leaving by the way, I WANT these e-cigs to get better. I'm just waiting until they get it right before dishing out more money. I'll be sticking around and reading YOUR reviews for a change. Thanks again.

I' a very heavy smoker. I was smoking 30 to 35 cigs a day. When my e-cigs were working properly, I could go for hours without a smoke, maybe 7 to 10 a day. Before getting the KISS, I was hoping to quit altogether once I got it, thinking that it really was the next generation of e-cig, kinda like the equivalent of the iPhone. What a disappointment.

Well, good news. Janty are sending me a complete new kissbox version 4. I will take a break from e-smoking until I get it. I don't want to get my hopes too high. Their customer service, if they follow thru, seems to be excellent. Now, if anyone has both an Njoy and a KISS, IS the KISS really superior than the Njoy as far as vapor is concerned? I was expecting TONS of smoke like the guy on youtube who went to china to perfect this design. I REALLY want it to be. Thanks
