Ive had this kayfun lite from FT now for 4 days and it leaks like a bucket with a hole.Ive tried everything,it gurggles and leaks at the air hole.Back to my Kraken with SS cable and mesh topping.

UPDATE:
I did the leak test and mine is air tight.I just raised the wick and coil up more above the airhole and its working better.Still have a small dribble of a leak but it was laying in my tool box at work.Im getting better at it.Ill bet if i use a smaller coil all will be ok,right now its a 1/16 wrap on a drill bit.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't bought anything from FT myself. I got an EHPro KFL+ from ebay, and haven't had any problems with it.

Just spitballing, but the o-ring in the cap can sometimes swell with certain juices or become damaged. I have also heard about excessive wicking touching the air hole on the build deck causing a leak down the air hole as well. I would try cleaning the whole thing very well, paying close attention to all of the threads. Put it back together dry with new o-rings throughout, then cover the air hole and draw to check for air leaks. If there is an air leak, it will flood. Also, I recommend filling it from the bottom; every time I have tried filling from the top, mine has leaked and gurgled, even if I do it using the "approved" method.

I also can't help but think that perhaps the one you have is defective in some way. A properly coiled and wicked KFL+ that leaks is almost always due to an air leak somewhere. You may also want to just try the EHPro. Mine is rock solid, great quality, and as I said trouble free. I got mine here...

Good luck.

UPDATE;

Finally got this tank working perfect,it was pretty simple.I ohm wrap with 28 ga K,raised the coil as far as possible and got the wicks just sitting lightly on the channels.I find a few primer puffs to get the wick wet works too before each blast.With the wicks tucked in the corners i was getting too much juice with flooding and leaking.

I have a hcigar kayfun 3.1, and struggled with a small leak from the air intake or no leak and dry hits galore. took a look at some Kayfun build vids and found a very simple solution. Don't put the wicks in the channels at 1st. take the 2 ends of the wick pull them vertically and together and slip the chimney collar over them and screw it down. then cut the wicks to roughly 1/4 inch above the top of the collar, separate the wick ends and with a 20 gauge needle gently push the wick down into each side, then use the needle to push the wick away from channels only and your done. very fast and easy with minimal fuss.

Theory goes that the juice comes up the channel its absorbed by the cotton surrounding it on all sides, which it turn feeds the coil. since ive been using this method, no dry hits except when its time to change the wick and only floods a tiny bit if left in my Vape kit for a good whille and is easy to clear. only leak ive had was my fault as i filled from the top and forgot to put my finger over the air hole etc. though even that all i needed to do was just to wipe it down and take a couple of puffs off the air hole fixed that right up.

I tried the exact method you describe above and it did not work for me,i just gently let the wicks sit on top of the channels and rasied the coil above the airhole as much as possibe,day 3 now its performing flawlessly.So good in fact my Kraken and RSST is on the back burner.With my wicks ''tucked'' in the corners i was just getting to much juice to the wicks causing flooding and leaks.Maybe my juice channels are bigger that yours.Mine is the FT clone KFL.
