i got a XTAR VC4..

so my nitecore went down. I decided I wanted a better charger. so the VC4 was my choice.

I really like it so much better in all ways.

one thing I can't figure out is the mah gauge...

my 18650 batts are 2200 mah. and I have some that are about a year old, and I have some I just bought too.

charging the new or the older ones give me real low mahs on the scale.

never reads over 500 mah when on a full charge. yet when I charge eneloops at full charge they read well over 1000 mah..

shouldn't my 2200 mah batts read close to 2200 mahs when fully charged?

It only shows you the amount of mah it puts in, from the beginning of the charge.
If you are charging, and pull out the battery, put back in, you will notice it starts over, showing the mah it is putting in.
You would have to fully drain the battery (not recommended), then charge, for it to show close to the 2200 mah capacity of the battery.
It's a little deceptive feature, but is a good charger.
Those with better typing skills can explain it better...LOL
