Wow, do they ship FAST:)!!! I ordered the satin silver mini with the stock red lights, because I liked the idea of red lights, and because the black extended one I had has blue lights. Uh... now I know why people buy blue or green lights extra, the red is BLINDING!!! LOL!

I'm so excited tho! I vaped it all day long, and it didn't need recharging (I got Provape AW batteries). I was really worried that I wouldn't like it because it might be TOOO small (I LIKE the 18650 large size), but nope, it's just adorable!!!

So here's my collection now (still monochrome, but I have 7 different colored carto tanks). YAY!!!

I'm so obsessed with vaping that I turned the spare bathroom into a juice lab. LOL!

Congrat's! I have a dressing/makeup table in my walk-in closet that is, day by day, turning into a vaping station that is starting to look like yours!

And now that you mention it, my collection of gear is also monochromatic except for some red anodized end caps on one of my tanks and a few colorful drip tips. Makes sense though, my clothes are pretty much the same (blacks, greys, tan and cream with a few saturated colors thrown in) - but that way I can mix and match (both clothes and vape gear), and I know no matter what, it will coordinate. :D

Enjoy the black mini.

Thanks guys:)! I'm really enjoying myself with all this:)!!!

My goal is to make 10, maybe 15 FLAWLESS juices for myself... where they will taste good and work in all my atomizers without burning/gunking. Then just make lots of each. At that point, I can clean up the bathroom again, since I'll only be making more of the same.

AngiB, I worried about the same thing, so I just bought 2 batteries with my Provari from Provape. Sure, I'd have saved a few bucks buying them from a cheaper source, but at most, we're talking $2 each, which would be eaten up by the postage (since Provape shipped the batteries free). I started thinking about FRESHNESS of the batteries too... how do I know that cheaper batteries are not cheap because they're old, so won't last as long?

I got a Nitecore charger from Amazon, and I love it!

I bought 2 Orbitronic batteries direct from Orbtronic... I looked at a LOT of 18650 batteries first, and that seemed the best compromise/price/mah. And they said that the batteries were perfect for Provari. I got them FAST... and after charging, all excited, I discovered that they DID NOT WORK. I was soooo upset. I wrote them immediately, and they told me how to fix them (took all of 30 secs). Turns out the buttons for Provari need to be more raised. And Orbtronic, and I'm sure some other battery companies, put extra insulation on the tops of their batteries to protect them (surrounding the button). This means that the contacts don't work.

They told me to press around the button area with a screwdriver, so that more of the button was exposed and the area around it was flatter. It didn't seem to make any sense, since the contact inside the Provari is flat, so wouldn't that just be button to flat top contact? Why would the area around the button matter? Well I did it, and boom, both new batteries work flawlessly.

Just thought I'd mention this for anyone who buys a button top battery that doesn't seem to work with their Provari.

I AGONIZED over which batteries to buy, which charger to buy... but I'm pretty happy with the solutions I ended up with! Good luck in your decisions too:).

I THOUGHT those buttons looked a little low on those batteries. Glad to hear there's a fix for it because I ordered some myself.

Hi EvilZoe, just wanted to mention that the batteries I got were these: IMR Hybrid 2250mAh Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 With Button Top High Drain Battery Cell 3.7V Li-Mn-Li-ion
- See more at: Orbtronic - Panasonic CGR18650CH With Top Button, 2250mAh IMR High Drain 18650 Battery Cell-Made in Japan

They have other types of 18650 batteries, and since these were the ones I got, I am not sure about the other ones and how well they work. But once you use a screwdriver to flatten the area around the button, they are working really well so far. Checking the voltage on my full sized Provari, the CB reads 4.2 with these, while the AO reads 4.0 for fully charged Efest comparison.

They sell a whole BUNCH of 18650 batteries, but I know these work in the Provari - the description also states that they do. They were also very quick to answer my question (ok, my complaint :p ).

What? I don't follow this, but it seems like it might not be such a great idea. Maybe I am misunderstanding...

I see the fix. I have recently ordered the Pannasoinc 2900PD's and they dont fit correctly in the ProVari. Too long. ProVari End cap wont screw all the way down. At the edge of the circumference of the posative end of the battery, its very thick and tall due to the extra insulation due to the wrap. So if you push the edge of the insulation down with a flat edge of a screwdriver, then the button top will go further in and the over insulated fat edge that was just shortened (which is the part that rests on the chip/board) causes the battery to slide down in the tube "just a tad more".

In my mind, this would mean that the posative contact in the provari is spring loaded. Is this the case ?

Im gonna try that with mine......

EDIT: I just looked at mine and it doesnt seem too overly insulated. I will get back to you on this...

I cannot understand forcing a battery into the ProVari. Is there something wrong with AW IMR's? They are what the ProVari was designed to use. They provide long cycles, provide a very high number of cycles, and will never, ever damage your device by being forced in.

Bad idea, guys.

Just a lions opinion.

It's just the insulation on the outside top edges of the Panasonics that is too high. It has nothing to do with exposing metal or applying pressure to the battery itself.

The reason people want to use these batteries is because they last so much longer than the AW IMRs.

I reread my earlier note and even confused myself with my messy explanation... LOL!

Ok, I bought 2 Provari this week.

First, I got a big 2.0 (for the 18650 size) in black with blue led from the Swap/Sell section here. I got 1 Efest battery with it, and needed more batteries. Ended up at Orbtronic's site, thinking that I'd get the freshest batteries because they made batteries themselves. When I got them in the mail, they didn't work. Returning them would mean I had only 1 battery and would still have to find more batteries. I didn't want to return them. When I emailed asking what to do, they suggested the screwdriver fix, and they worked perfectly after that. I don't know anything about batteries. I posted the screwdriver fix so others who might have bought batteries that also didn't work could try that for a fix, since it fixed mine. Also if they wanted to order Orbtronic's batteries, since they worked great after the fix (the email said that only 1 in 500 Provari have this issue (remember, the unit I got the batteries for was a 2.0 version).

I then ordered the brand new satin Provari mini from the Provari site, after the batteries were already fixed in the big Provari I had. With this, I ordered the AW batteries from ProVape at the same time for the 18350 small batteries, I didn't need more 18650s, already had 3.

The reason I didn't get the first batteries from ProVape to begin with was I wasn't ordering anything at the time from ProVape, and after reading a lot of notes on the forum about batteries, it seemed that while the AW at Provape was the way to go for the smaller batteries. However, a lot of people who had extended to 19650's were using higher MAH batteries than the AW because they last longer (when the point of going for the extension was the longest life).

I couldn't find the green Panasonic 2900 mah in stock that some people recommended, but I wondered if it would not be a good thing to hop from a recommended 2000 to 2900mah anyway. I figure if ProVape thought using a 2900mah was a good idea, they'd be selling 18650 in 2900mah for 1/3 more battery life?

So I compromised by finding a 2250 mah, from a manufacturer (or at least a rebrander who used their own name on the product they have to back up), which stated in the description that they were made to work with Provari.

Further, I try to buy American where I can, and Orbtronic is in Florida. Florida has been BATTERED by the economy, worse than any other state, so whether they made the batteries themselves or not, their name is on the battery, and I will support a Florida business where I can. But, the batteries works great, lasts forever (haven't changed one in 2 days of vaping so far), so I'm glad I did.

That's how it happened:).
