Ok. I purchased an iTaste MVP v2.

Which comes with an iClear tankomizer.

Now I'm wondering how do you guys handle multiple flavours? Do you have multiple tankomizers? I'm guessing that during the day I'm going to want to switch between multiple flavours. Can I just pull a tank off and leave it on my desk? Or do I need to buy some sort of plug?

Is there any maintenance that I should be doing? How would I clean a tankomizer if I didn't like the flavour I put into it?

I have multiple atomizers for this iclear for when it burns out. Are they all standard? Could I use any heating element? Or do I need to use this specific one?

With tanks and clearomizers, I tend to just vape the tank and add a new flavor. If I really hated the flavor, or if they wouldn't mesh well for a few hits, I'll dump the juice, take out the atomizer, clean the wicks and rinse the tank. Let it all dry, put it together, add new flavor, enjoy!

You will need replacement atomizers that are compatible with the iClear. When you go to buy new ones, it should state that they're iClear heads. :)

A couple different tanks for changing flavors through out the day is the simplest. As far as cleaning hot water will do the trick most of the time. I've also used alcohol if its a stubborn flavor. The atomizers you got as replacements are fairly specific. I don't remember if the mvp comes with the iclear 16 or the iclear 30, either way the 'name' of the tank is on the base or possibly the bottom. Your replacement atomizers will say the same thing on the packaging. You can even learn to rebuild those store bought one is you wanted. The tanks shouldn't leak in theory. At some point they will. Its unavoidable. Unless something is really wrong, or unless you leave it in a hot car in the summer, it won't leak all out. Just a drop or two. Maintenance I'd suggest using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol once a weak on the mvp where you connect the tank. Liquid finds its way there from time to time and cakes up. And clean the tanks once in a while, maybe 3-4 weeks ish even if its keeping the same flavor. More then once when I was learning I had poor taste and leaking issues all solved with a cleaning.

I found that it is much easier to have at least 2 tanks to switch in-between. Maybe have one for an all-day-vape, and then another to test out flavors in. I used to clean out my protank mini 3 after every refill, then decided to pick up 2 extra tanks and it really make things a lot easier. As for cleaning all you need to do is take apart your tank, rinse out the tank, wicks, atomizer, and cap that holds the tank in place, then twist up a paper towel small enough to fit down into the tank to dry it. there should be plenty of youtube videos showing you how to properly clean out your tank. *Make sure the wicks are almost completely dry before re-assembling your tank and refill it. As for the atomizer, if you got replacements they should be standard. The ohms may be slightly different between multiple ones but they should screw right in.

Hi, asoap, welcome to ECF. Congrats on the MVP! A great choice!

You can just take the heads off. They don't leak.

To change flavors you can just wash them out with water. If the flavor is a strong one, an overnight soak in cheap vodka should do the job.

The iclear16 is a top-coil clearo. I believe for these the heads are usually not interchangeable with other types. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I use primarily BCC types; for those the heads are almost all interchangeable (with a few exceptions).

I keep several different heads in rotation with different flavors. (I buy cheap heads from FastTech and re-wick them with Rayon).
Here's a couple of my favorites, FWIW:

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1594202 (They sell them in singles, too)

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1640900

And of course, the classic EVOD's:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...-electronic-cigarette-round-mouth-atomizer-10

They do have the iclear16's also:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...hentic-innokin-iclear-16-top-coil-clearomizer

As well as replacement coils. Takes a while to get them delivered, though!

Welcome, and congrats on getting a great little device, your MVP. Most of your questions have been answered, but I did want to say this, if you didn't know. The MVP will work with lots of different tanks/clearomizers, so you have many options if you want to buy some extra tanks for different juices.

Wow. Thank you so much for the help guys. Very fast responses also.

I just checked it comes with the iClear 30 clearomizer.

So for cleaning I just need to disassemble and rinse out.

The only issue I have with the iClear 30. Is that the base is a little thread. (hmm... I got an error here when I tried to attach a link)

I can't exactly leave them standing up by themselves. Is there a little threaded piece that I can buy so that it can stand up easier? Does it need to stand up? Can I just leave them on their sides?

Is there a tank you guys recommend?

And those cheap tanks look great.

You can just lay them on their sides. That "little thread" on the bottom of the base is a 510 connection.

(Also, I don't think you can post links until you have 5 posts).

I just lay my filled tanks on their sides in a small plastic bin on my desk when I'm not using them. I have quite a few loaded with different juice and rotate throughout the day.

Everyone has their favorite tank, so you will probably get lots of opinions. I own 2 MVP's and really like the Smok Tech Pyrex Aro tanks to use with them. They are sturdy glass, so you can use them with some of the juices that don't react well with plastic.

They are relatively inexpensive, and I get very good flavor and vapor with them on my MVP. A factor that I considered when getting tanks was the cost of the replacement heads/coils, which is just a little over $1 for these tanks. Here is a link to the place I ordered from so you can check them out:

Welcome asoap! +1 on everyone else's comments. I just received the EVOD set that twgbonehead referenced - so far, they've worked pretty well (they are NOT Kanger EVODs; they draw a little differently, and the stock coil doesn't look all that great, so I'm rebuilding them all to my preferences :D). I have all kinds of different toppers for my MVP (and all my other devices ) so that I can rifle through my mini-mart of flavors at any given time. Depending on the types of juices you like, you might want to consider a tank made of glass/pyrex because certain flavors can react with the plastic and ruin the tank. Just watch that the tank is 510 or eGo threaded (most common configuration for the MVPs), otherwise, you'll have to get an adapter for the tank to connect properly.

Have fun and enjoy the :vapor:

:EDIT: I leave my iClears on their sides - helps keep the wicks wet. There are nifty stands out there, or if you can get your hands on a block of wood and some larger drill bits, make your own ;)

If you want your tanks to stand while notusing them, check out these: $5.10 Aluminum Stand for 510 Atomizers (7-Pack) 7-pack - 7mm(9/32 inch) / ships with one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping[/URL] they aren't that expensive. :)(you can also get singles)

That is exactly what I was looking for.

Oddly enough though. I was just in the garage vaping and I was looking at all of the spare wood I have lying around. I think I can make a "spice rack" of sorts. Something to hold all of my tanks and I can have a spot behind them to hold the 30 ml bottles so I know what's in each tank.

I was literally just thinking about building a stand. Is there any issues with the wicks being in the vertical position?

And I'm thinking about the pyrex/glass also.

I'm still new to this and I bought some fuzzy peach flavour. But it doesn't have much flavour. The bottle doesn't say how much PG/VG is in it. So I don't know how much flavour I should be getting.

For a candy type of flavour should I be getting a mouthful of flavour?

Great minds think alike :)

Depending on whether you were a smoker, your tastebuds might be muted. The farther away you are from having smoked cigarettes, the more refreshed your tastebuds can become. If you want, try sniffing some fresh coffee beans (now, don't stick them up your nose or anything like that....) You might also be experiencing a little bit of vapor's tongue. Make sure to drink plenty of water (higher PG juices will dehydrate you more quickly.) You may find that something that tastes sharp or intense now may mellow, or vice versa. Maybe keep your bottle sizes small for now as you get into this more. I'm just now getting 30mL bottles because I'm finally (4 months in) settling in on flavors that I like and that are staying consistent. Lots and lots of 6mL and 10mL bottles got me started (which I'm not throwing away - I fill the smaller bottles and use those as my on-the-go size bottles. That, and if I ever get into DIY, I'll already have them on hand)

Depending on PG/VG and who makes the juice, that can have an effect. Depending on whether your coils are gunked up, that can reduce flavor. Some vendors allow for you to add "flavor shots" to enhance the depth of the flavor. Pre-made juices are probably 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG, so they should carry more flavor, but all other factors can deter from that.

if your juice has been freshly-made, you might consider letting it sit for a couple of days (steeping) to allow the flavors to meld.

Side note - I have a couple of those Aro tanks referenced by Buggainok. I do like them, but they're heavier than my EVODs. Not horrid, just a different balance on the device.

Hang in there! Your happy vape place will come to you :)
