I was very excited to receive my MaxxFusion Ultimate Starter Kit today. I’m no expert, as I’ve only tried one other e-cig which was also a KR808D-1, but so far I am impressed with the amount of vapor and the flavor (I got Menthol cartomizers). I also think it is a very attractive e-cig. The Pass-Thru is a power-horse; the cases and chargers are well designed and easy to figure out. And I think I’m going to love the easy-refill cap on the cartomizers.
The Ultimate Starter Kit I ordered has the 78mm batteries, but the old style PCC. I didn’t realize when I ordered it that I wouldn’t get the new PCC. But I don’t want to exchange it for the kit with the new PCC because I prefer the 78mm batteries.
I’ve only been vaping on this new MaxxFusion for about an hour, but I am liking it very much. I would love to hear how others feel about it. Good work Leaford and thank you!

Great, enjoy. Keep us updated. What do you think about the cartomizer?

Great, enjoy. Keep us updated. What do you think about the cartomizer?

Lastone, I haven’t taken the cartomizer apart and haven’t had it long enough to know how they are long-term, but I can tell you that the first drag I took was full of vapor. It didn’t need primer puffs to get it going. I’ve been vaping on the same cartomizer for a few hours now without any drop in vapor or burnt taste. I haven’t noticed the cartomizer getting “hot” to the touch after consistent vaping, but the vapor is still warm enough in my lungs. It’s hard for me to judge throat hit since I’m not that particular about it, or maybe because menthol always seem to give enough throat hit for me. It looks like it is going to be a breeze to refill. From Leaford’s video it looks like you don’t even have to take the soft cap off to refill it, but it’s easy to get the cap off if you want to. Was there anything else about the cartomizers you were curious about?

Wonderful!

Thanks a lot Slim, and I'm thrilled to hear you love it!

What color did you get? How do you like the feel of the finish under your fingers?

Leaford, I got the blue batteries and they are very nice. It’s not a blue that screams “blue”; I would call it a midnight blue that is understated, but luminous and just right. And with the black cartomizers and matte finish it looks sophisticated and elegant. It’s not shiny and slippery like others I have seen and it’s not cold to the touch. I don’t know quite how to describe the texture, but the feel of it under my fingers is very nice. The battery is not too heavy, so you can actually hold and handle it like an analog. Leaford, I have to say, you have outdone yourself once again. Thanks for such a great product.

Oh, you have no idea how happy that makes me! I decided to go with a rubbery finish, like many eGo/vGo models use. And that's exactly why; a softer look, a warmer feel, and much less slippery. And I was much more nervous about that than anything else, because it's subjective. The performance is objectively superior, and I have the testing data to prove that, so I've been smugly confident people would like that. The finish OTOH... purely subjective, no way to know if others would agree. So, I'm really floating on a cloud now! :D :D :D :D

Yep, “You done good buddy boy!” I'm glad I could make you happy. That's the least you deserve.

Hold and handle like an analog..... I miss that... and u got blue.... my colour..

Leaford quick question.. will the cartos come in other than black at some point..
I too think that an ego like rubbery finish is alot better than the shiny paints and can't stand the metal feel the chrome batts have..

Michelle.....who can't wait till some of my stuff dies so I can justify trying this out.. Really hoping I can get it to Denmark..

Michelle, I'm not really decided. I'm definitly not going to do the whole different-color-for-every-flavor thing, because that got to be a major pain at V4L.

The printers hated it, because they have to dye a whole roll of sticker material for each color, even if we were only ordering a small number. They put up with it for V4L due to their overall order volume, but our orders are much smaller. And I hated it because it got too complicated to track what color each flavor was, and the colors always came out a shade or two different every time it was printed, anyway.

But, of course, there are a lot of people who like colored cartos, and even some who have come to consider their e-cig another fashion accessory to coordinate with their outfit. ;)

For now, I kept Bloog's existing all black cartos. But I am considering two things.

The first would be to carry our empties in colors to match our battery colors. That seems a bit more useful for the fashion conscious than different colors for different flavors, because who wants to choose their flavors by the color?

The second possibility is to go with different colors for different flavor categories; for example black for tobacco flavors, green for mints and menthols, red for fruits or berries, etc etc. I might start doing that in the next couple of months, when we introduce refill bottles and our own custom line of flavors. So the new flavors' prefilled cartos would have the new colors.

Yearh v4l's coloursceme did seem at bit as overkill. Don't think you should use up so much time on it.. Its just colours afterall. Just a few basic ones would be nice. Match the batts. Thats a good idea.
But thats just me offcourse, the redwhite and blue pleases mi peepers....
Are there really still that many people that buy prefilled cartos? I only do the emtys. My flavour is not something you can get in one..

While having the cartomizers labeled is nice and avoids confusion, I've never been a fan of the colors

Personal preference is batteries and cartomizers the same color or matching, but this does get confusing on what flavor is currently in them

A suggestion would be colored caps at the mouth piece instead of white or colored cart condoms for identifying the flavor

I was never a fan of all the different cartomizer colors either. Leaford, of the two options you listed I personally would prefer the first (have blank cartomizers in colors to match the battery colors). Actually, I'm fine with just having black cartomizers. As for your second option (different colors for different flavor categories); I mainly vape menthols and I wouldn’t like putting a green cartomizer on my new beautiful blue battery. Or any color battery for that matter. But it wouldn’t be a big deal if I had to.
