I got my pants knocked off last night. While typing an E-mail I added one of my new LR 801 atties with one of the drip tips on my Indulgence. Wow what TH. First time I try the LR 801. Very Nice I am not scared.

Can the LR801 be used with a PT??

Haven’t tried with the PT. Going to now. Will let you now in a few minutes. If it takes longer, I lost more than my pants.

I am still here with my pants on. It does not work with the PT. I know Di told me that the switch unit cuts off if the resistance on the atty is to low. I asked her once about the KR808D-1 not working at 6V.

After groping aorund in the deep recesses of my little mind I seemed to vaguely remember that LRs are not to be used with PTs. Thanks for the confirmation Bart! I do love the 801 so can't wait to try these. Probably with an adapter for my Riva! Or use with Indulgence. Yaaay!

these HV and LR attys do use more juice,

this is a hard question to answer


as with the regular attys
these two LR attys both have their good points to boast about.

In my humble opinion --

in both cases the 510 attys
give a harder vapor and a better flavor
with good throat hit-depending on the juice you use.

In both cases
the 801 attys give a warmer and more gentle vapor
decent flavor but not fantastic,
you get a very good throat hit with a good juice.


my favorite is still without doubt the

801 atty every time. - Regular, HV, and LR - 801 for me thanks.
