Dont give up on that 510 smelly atty just yet, If you have tried everything and nothing helps, give this a try. With all the modding going on lately I have suddenly got 3 bad tasting attys. Without realizing it I was pushing down the entire ceramic bowl and bridge further toward the battery side. I took a paper clip and carefully angled it to the inside of the threaded side and slowly pushed the bowl back up to the top. Be careful not to go straght in and there are 2 wires you need to be aware of, you can feel them with the paper clip. All 3 attys are now working again with no bad taste at all.
