Hello all, Just wanted to give a quick thanks to the ECF and all the useful info I have gained from researching here. I am pretty new to vaping (about ~2wks) and have a question:
Why is my clearo running so warm/almost hot even to the touch? Is this normal?

I have a Ego 1000mah twist, and 2 ego-c 1000mah batteries and it seems to run pretty warm on all batteries.
My clearo is a CE4+ V2 2.4omh from Myvaporstore (eGo CE4 PLUS V2 Clearomizer / Vision/ Stardust)
I have 10 clearos and 3 of 3 all run pretty warm
The E-Liquid/Juice is Strawberry Champange from Pink Spot 18mg
Now I have cut the Juice with Heritage VG from Whole foods
I did a 50/50 cut to help reduce the nic

The Clearos didnt feel warm when I first used them with the Uncut juice so I have 2 theories:
1) The VG is causing the atomizer to Gunk up and its running hotter then usual
2) Due to the lower mg of Nic, I am chain vaping and the constant heat is heating up the clearo...

Just wondering if anyone had any input on the sitch

You are probably correct on both counts. It might help you to buy cartos or atomizer in higher ohms.. Especially used on the twist, as you will have much more latitude in using the voltage control to obtain your desired warmth or coolness..

Thanks for the replies peeps

I forgot to mention that I only run the twist at 3.2, and a ego-c runs from 3.2-3.6 if I remember correctly so I would really hope the combo of a 2.4omh and 3.2~3.4voltage was not* causing it too run hot. Im gonna try cleaning the clearos and mixing a less VG batch.

My lungs would prob prefer less chain vaping too, but thats no fun :p

Welcome to ECF , but It's mostly the chain vaping , that's causing the heat . Remember , it's a little coil , that heats up to atomize the juice . When you use it constantly , it never has a chance to cool down . I use a few carto type tanks , and the hot carto's actually "cook" the juice . It turns a lot darker , and loses some flavor as well . Try alternating between several devices , so that they have a chance to cool down .
