Reading these forums, you all have set the expectation way to high (for me). I keep expecting to get my vaping world rocked. But, this whole e-cigarette experience has been a such a disappointment. These things totally suck. I do luv my cigarettes!

I’ve paid hard earned money to get equipment that may or may not work. Flavors that may or may not be as described. Frankly not one product or vendor has rocked my world (out of 6). Not one order for equipment was filled correctly, I’ve actually had to e-mail vendors and ask for the rest of my order. Shipping it out is easy, getting it right is the hard part. Great customer service? Not Yet.

Its just chappin that I have to give up expecting a superior product and have to settle for just ok. I’m not even gonna name any vendors here, I don’t need to get flamed on top of my disappointment, I’m just hopin to jump on someone’s band wagon so I can start singing some praises.

The only orders that have not totally disappointed me are from my liquid supplier. I was not bowled away by the flavors, but they tasted fine, I will order from them again (and again).

I can’t afford to keep getting disappointed. If I want to kick the old habit I guess I'm gonna have to take what I can get, but I am not paying any more than I have to!! Sale, sale, sale....is all I’m interested in now.

Which vendor should I refer my family and friends to?? The one with the best price – no exception!

Wow 6 vendors and not one has done anything for you? Interesting......Have you looked over on the supplier side of the board and read reviews and what not?

First time people always spend more then usual to find what they like, still its cheaper then analogs ( well for me as i am in Chicago and there about 8.00 a pack )

Sorry to hear that you have had nothing but bad luck, but without stating names ( don't wanna get all the fan boys excited ) i am curious to know what happened?

What device did you start with? Which juice?

"I’ve paid hard earned money to get equipment that may or may not work"

Well in all honesty, If a device DID NOT WORK you should return it and if they do NOT offer a refund on a device that does not work, by all means, please share where you bought it from?

"Flavors that may or may not be as described"

I have about 15 bottle of flavors that say JUICY THIS and COFFEE THAT and trust me, they taste and smell like dirty socks....Hit or Miss on that one...Thats why its good to try Sample packs or order a small 2-3ml bottle to try first..It took me a good amount of juice to find the flavors i like ( Menthol, Non-Menthol, Coffee, Cappuchino, etc )

Also, read the forum! Find suppliers with LOW shipping costs, No tax (out of state), etc, etc. That way if you buy a few small bottles of juice and there not for you then your not out of alot that money.

I like Tasty Vapors for the juice
I like Cignot for the Joye,

Of course this is just my opinion based on service and quality. I am sure you get a variety of answers and I would value most on this forum. I am sorry you had such a tough time. Stay strong and hang in there. If you want to change, its not that bad compared to a pack of cigarettes (after the price catches up) I have found that I feel much better and my wallet has been much heavier :).

Get a protege or prodigy from puresmoker... those dont dissapoint.

You are correct! They do NOT disappoint at all! Problem is, With many people who first start out, They dont know much about the Mods or want to spend that much.

I was the same way, started out with just your basic 510 model and i got a bit tired of it and charging the battery all the time, etc, etc. When i learned about the Mods out there....WOOO! A whole new world opened up! Havent had a cig in 5 months thanks to those mods!

Right on brother... My first was a dse 901 auto bat and i had the same problem, inconsistent hits.. constant charging and battery swapping.. but once I got my protege that was all over... I kind of miss going through all that and discovering my protege and wish i could do it again...

Yeah, I own 510 carts, attys and adapters for my Mods but i hardly EVER use them. Messing with carts drives me nuts! The carts are messy, Changing out the filler ( teabag, polly or foam ) all just drive me nuts, They kept sticking to the atty whenever i pull the cart off.

As i said, i kept them on hand, but i always drip with a 801, 4 drops and BAM! iam off! no messing with carts or anything.

I am going to try some cartomizers ( cart and atty build together ) so that way when i go out, i can pop a carto on and just vape away! No filling, No dripping, Nothing!

But as for my all day vape, i only drip with a 801.

OH and as for having a bad vaping night, I have been there! Where i go grab whatever and it just seems to taste like crap or there no vapor or the throat hit feels like i just sucked on a exhaust pipe. Those are the days, i sit down, clean my device and atty and everything is all good again!

Sorry you have had such a terrible time with vendors. I have bought from LeCig and Nhaler for equipment. TastyVapor and Mrs T's for my juice. All of these vendors provided excellent service and I wouldnt hesitate to send my friends or family to them.

There is definitely a learning curve using a pv and there are some initial costs. I use a kr8 with cartomizers and just spend a few minutes a week cleaning them. Otherwise, I just have to remember to keep the batteries charged and refill the carts at night before i sleep.

Dont give up! You will find what works for you :)

It would help if you mentioned which e-cigs and liquids you are using.

I've learned a valuable lesson since I started vaping... don't go for the lowest prices. It's important to do research and find good vendors with a long history of positive feedback (not just one thread of people saying it's good, but many threads and posts mentioning the vendor). Don't make the mistake of trying to save money. I will always pay for quality over quantity from now on.

My favorite so far is Nhaler. Johnson's Creek is good as well, but there are mixed feelings towards them (it took me a little while to begin enjoying the juice). I'm still testing out different juices and have ordered from Juicy Vapor this time.

Nothing holds true for everyone. I spent close to $200 with Puresmoker and received a Protege that almost started a fire. The button on the Protege passthrough I bought stopped working within the first week. (And, one of the batteries I bought from them was defective.) These were the first mods I bought and if judged the whole e-cig world on them, I would be back on analogs.

While I don't disagree with the general sentiment you would be mistaken to think cheap is bad. Litcigusa, cignot, RMV and several others are the cheapest around. Doesn't mean they are bad. In fact they have reputations for being fast and accurate.

I don't really think cheap is bad. I just think it's bad to make purchases based on the lowest price. I like to see many people giving praise to the vendor in various threads and sites before I decide to try them.

Most of the trouble steaming from attys is the batteries. Take a dead battery, or one that is in the worst kind of shape. Find the instructions for the NicoStick (see Modder's section). Go to Radio Shack and get parts to build the one that takes a 3.7 battery so you don't have to play around with resistors or boards. It's cheap and easy (I did it so that means no experience necessary).

Once done, life will get SOOOO much better.

IMO everybody that uses ecig have days where nothing will seem to work. Then there are times everything is working fine. I really don't know what this is or why it happens. You just have to be working at it and things will straigthen out. I would highly recommend the Joye 510. I get my ecig and supplies from Nhaler and Totally Wicked, USA. I can order something and have it within 3 days. Great customer service and I love their eliquid.

There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to ecigs. If you start getting a bad taste from your eliquid you need to blow out the atomizer and drip a could of drops onto the it and start over. You will get a harsh burnt taste if the atomizer is dry or if it needs cleaning. The only draw back on the 510 is the battery time. I keep several 510' charged and ready to use. I have a multicharger that holds 5 batteries at one time. When I get 5 dead batteries I will charge them. This works out great.

I also have some Little Chuck which usully produced more vapor and a better TH. The battery last much longer.

I don't know what kind of ecig you started with or what vendor you used but there are several that have excellent equipment equipment with excellent service.

There are a ton of people on this forum (as already evidenced by the replies) that will go out of their way to help you. Sometimes you have to be specific with what you are using and exactly how it's not working. A change of hardware, a change of juice, whatever. Maybe you're not using a strong enough e-liquid to replace the nicotine you were putting into your system with the regular cigs. Maybe you aren't quite using the hardware properly.

Ask away, be as specific as you can be. People here will jump at the chance you help you out with this.

It is also possible that you went into this thinking that the e-cig would 100% replace the cigarette.
I share my story with anyone who asks about my PV but I do always try and be honest. In my opinion it does not 100% replace the cigarette in regards to satisfaction. With my first e-cig it was about 75%. The e-cig was not always reliable, filling the carts caused juice to go in my mouth. When it vaped well I was able to maintain, when it did not I got mad cravings for analogs.
With my mod I get 98% contentment but it still does not 100% replace the analog. It is relaible and it always produces vapor. I do not have to change my batteries every hour. Again in my opinion e-cigs give you enough to make quitting the analog possible and with all the flavors and mods out there the possiblity of enjoying vaping.

They do not 100% replace the cigarette. At least they have not for me. But by using them I can now smell, I can taste, Ican take my dogs on a long walk without huffing and puffing, I do not smell like a ashtray and I am proud of myself for at least being able to get the 600lb smoking monkey off my back. I have been carrying him for over 30 years.
