I bought a mini e-cig from a mall. It came with 2 Auto batteries and a USB charger. When I tried them at home , they both lasted 5 minutes of vaping and died. I thought I damaged them from dripping , but I returned them to the mall. They gave me 2 new batteries , one of them also died , and never turn the charger green.

My order of 510 starter kit arrived from cignot , both auto and manual batteries died after 15 minutes of vaping. I charged them , charger turned green , then died again after 15 minutes. Its definitely not dripping , because I didnt drip the auto battery , and the manual one is sealed.

I am an elec engineer , the charge says 110/240 V 50/60 Hz , my home is 220 50 Hz. So it is definitely not the charger.

Please I need an advice , where to buy good 510 battery that will last more than 15 minutes. Will cignot help me with my bad batteries ??

Did you use the battery charger that cignot sent you or the battery charger from the first pv?

Cignot is an excellent company. I've gotten great CS from there. I would contact them definitely, your batteries should still be under warranty.

I'm not an elec engineer, I just plug stuff in and hope for the best.

If swedishfish says that Cignot is an excellent company, I believe it. Assuming you used the correct charger and the batt will still not hold a charge, I would contact Cignot. If they are worthy of their reputation, I would expect them to get a replacement to you ASAP. You may just be the victim of bad luck.

When I had an atty problem I talked to Vicky so much I thought she was going to move in with me. Seriously, she answers emails in a couple minutes and goes out of her way to try to help. Extremely nice and really helpful. Sometimes it's worth paying a couple dollars more there for the customer service you get.

I've had great customer service from a lot of suppliers, but I have to say Cignot is at the top of the list. Before I even started vaping I contacted her and she was so helpful, sent me lots of info and I had never even bought anything from there.

I have gotten a bad battery once or twice and emailed them. They were quick, efficient and on the ball and had one in the mail to me immediately:) I even explained to her to please charge me, as my husband took it apart to see if he could fix it..She laughed and said send me the pieces and still replaced it. Cignot stands behind their products and has GREAT customer service!!! You can never go wrong using Cignot!

I've got three dead batteries so far in a span of about two months of vaping out of 7 pairs of kits, mostly penstyles and some minis, I've accumulated. One is an Ego and two are penstyles. If a battery is dead, it's dead. I don't tinker with them. I see them as small dynamites waiting to explode. I'm not an electrical engineer. And when people talk about dead batteries, I'm glad I finally settled with E-Power. I bought a kit, an extra housing and I've got plenty of batteries for them lying around. I anticipate batteries dying over time. But I don't worry now because I don't have to discard the entire unit, only the batteries. So that's what I suggest to vapers. Buy a mod. Any mod. Batteries are non issues. One dies, you buy another. Not another entire unit.

I notice that you got auto batteries? You know that overfilling can lead to a leak into the battery itself & kill the batt, right? Might want to try manual batteries next. +1 on the mod suggestion. You might want to look at a simple box mod if you're an electrical engineer and like building things yourself; I can make one here in the U.S. for about $10 ($12.50 if I want to put a cool LED in it), and batteries from dealextreme are dirt cheap. Check out the modders subforum, there's a sticky with tons of pictures, wiring diagrams, etc.

Depends what your looking for. Both are tube mods. Silver bullet is sturdy and works great but it's also pretty big.
The EPower is smaller but is just 3.7V. The silver bullet can be 3.7V or I'd you use different batts it can be 6V.
I have an EPower and really like it. I use the ressurector LR cartos and it hits awesome and my batteries last over a day so I can't complains. The silver bullet is awesome too but for me it's too big. I need something that's can be carried in a pocket easier. The silver bullet I feel is kind of more of an at home PV

My boss's wife has an e-power, and she's a total klutz... it's the first ecig that's lasted more than a month without her breaking it by dropping the thing. It's dinged and dented and still works like a champ with 2 ohm (low resistance) cartos for a very satisfying vape. Spare batteries are relatively cheap.

I have an Indulgence, which also has the option of 3.7 or 6 volts. Honestly, I only use the 6v option with dual coil mega cartos, and not all that often. It kinda seems like overkill. I'm not saying it's bad, and I do like 6v, but it's not something I do a lot of (it's a juice and power HOG at 6 volts... the batteries drain pretty quickly relative to a 3.7v setup, and I run through about twice as much juice if I'm doing it all day). 3.7 volts with a lower resistance (2 ohm) cartomizer pretty effectively simulates 5 volt vaping, and is always an option on any "standard" mod.

Now let's not start a flame war / major debate here... I'm not saying anything negative about high voltage. It's not my everyday thing, but I DO like it. Just remember, this guy is fairly new. Keep it simple; let him get his feet wet with a good kit before we go tossing him in the deep end, lol!

I suggest the e-Power. It's sort of like a standard kit, but a lot like a mod in that you're using generic batteries that fit inside it, instead of proprietary ones that, when they die, you have to throw the whole battery & switch out. It's not frighteningly expensive, it's sturdy and reliable, works great, you can buy spare switch sections, battery cups, etc. for it, and if you toss in an 8 or 9 dollar pack of low resistance cartos, you'll get an *approximation* of what HV vaping is like (sorta), without risking frying stuff because you're running too high of a voltage for your atomizers or cartos. (No one here is mentioning that 6v requires higher resistance attys or cartos than standard, or you'll get about 1.5 seconds of vape and then PFFFT! Buy a new atomizer!)

Just my humble opinon here.

Check the 510 charger cable and make sure it has around 150-250mA output. Two shops have sold me Ego cables instead (same threading but 420mA output) and those destroyed the ability of five 510 batteries to hold charge before I found both incorrect cables. And one of those cables came WITH a clone 510 kit.

Also make sure the USB to AC you are using puts out the voltage and at least the mA the 510 charger cable wants for input. You can use a PC's USB output but I don't. I use 4 port 5v 2amp (2000mA) USB to AC adapters for 4 battery cables to insure an uninterrupted stable supply.

I never ever buy auto batteries. I am surprised you killed a manual 510 unless you are buying crap clones (I recommend Joye/Joyetech or Janty only), or if your charger is incorrect or if you are using inappropriate ohms attachments.

And re incorrect chargers - same threading does NOT mean same charger. The following chargers can kill as in fry or melt normal 510 batteries:

FS510
Blu, Trio or other L88b model
Automatic 510-T charger
(and as mentioned Ego-class chargers can damage the slim 510 batteries)

ALSO - you should only be using atomizers or cartomizers 2.5 to 3 ohms on a slim 510. LR atomizers and cartomizers (low resistance, lower ohms) are not for slim 510 - those are only for fat battery models like Ego or Riva 510 (450mah+ batteries) or for mods and very low resistance under 1.7 ohms can even damage the fat batteries. And they use charge too fast for the slim batteries and can damage them.

Re amount of charge - a little 510 battery is 180mah. 100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping with standard resistance atomizer or cartomizer.
