I have one of the white ones :/ oh well, i guess ill have to be VERY careful when sliding the battery, thanks for the tip highping :) i bet this will make mine last longer.

Didn't you just get yours? If so I think you are ok. The clear ones were only in use for a short time a few months back. Not sure if Jeffis using white ones now or not. :?:
But either way, you don't have to be 'very' careful. Just hold your chuck on its side when you slide your batt in. Don't hold it atty side down and 'drop' you batt into it.

You guys make it sound like these are the maglights of e-cigs lol

Pfft...I could pound a maglight flat with my chuck. ...JK:p

That's actually a pretty good comparison. Very similar quality to the maglight (without the little o-rings)

So for the 4-5 of you left that have the clear. Go easy putting your batts in, and you might have a collectors item some day.

I can see it now on "Antiques Road Show 2100"...
The appraiser says, "oh my, you have a real treasure here! Although there are hundreds of Chucks that survived the last century, there are only 2 known that have the clear acrylic isolator discs!" :p:p
And I have one of them!

That badass vaping badger down there in my signature has a clear one.
I got it about two months ago.

My other Chuck that I got about four months ago has a black one though.

I just ordered me a chuck because I thought they were indestructible. Maybe I was wrong.

They may not be indestructible, but mine has been dropped several times without a hitch, also it gets used HEAVILY. I think mine was one of the first batches, so like Jeff said, he has improved the design. He has also said I could get it fixed, no problem. If I were you I wouldnt worry about a thing. I can also say that I have owned many ecigs, including GG and silver bullet, and although they are nice, NOTHING can replace my CHUCK.

Black = Delrin
White = Nylon (stronger than delrin)
Clear = Acrylic (not used in forever)

I got an acrylic one back tonight that was still intact. From one of the first batch!
It got the upgrade of course.

The delrin is more than adequate. My supplier was out of delrin so I picked up some nylon and the stuff is awsome... price is not so awsome.
I have a bunch of both, so you get whatever I happen to grab out of the bin.
Neither the delrin or nylon have EVER failed.

Funny thing is that after 600 some CHUCKS I know that there is an acrylic in FL one in AUS and one in Japan that I have not replaced yet... yet I can't remember what (or if) I had for dinner last night.

lol I can relate to that. 5 years of scheduling customers and I can recognize an address I haven't seen in years. Yet I usually have to check my own phone numbers when I'm asked for them.

ok ok i got confused... the clear ones (as in transparent?) are the "less good ones" and the white/black ones are the better ones?

sorry xD?

Black = Delrin
White = Nylon (stronger than delrin)
Clear = Acrylic (not used in forever)

That is correct:
Black = Delrin = good
White = Nylon = good
Clear = Acrylic = less good

Just to let you know what kind of guy Jeff is: Sent my chuck in to get repaired, not only did I get it repaired, but it also has brand new decals and a fresh coat of paint. I could not be happier! I was without it for about a week. Jeff gets an A+++++ in my book. LONG LIVE THE CHUCK!!

Paul... Yes, new coat of paint & decals. But they are on A NEW body as well. Basically I just used your existing end caps. You notice that the washer under the switch is gone?

New body and a better logo on the front too... 2/color. The original one was a single color.

Thank you and you are welcome!!! :D

ah yes I do notice jeff....thanks again man. It looks pretty again, my other one had become pretty worn, because it is always in my sweaty hand....lol. After you use a chuck, you just cant use anything else....I was having to double-barrel my 808 batteries just to get a fix......but the wait made me appreciate my chuck that much more!

Hi from Canada! I believe that I just broke one of the early clear ones, so one of the originals from September came to Canada. PM'd Jeff and tucked my baby into the mail on Monday and am praying for a safe journey and a quick return.
Sort of beat up my Chuck trying to do a self repair, so it sustained its first injuries to the beautiful coat that Jeff gave it- sorry Jeff, you may cry like I did when you see the injuries that I gave it! I know it will be in good hands once you get it though.
